The Ring Bearer System

Written by Rowben. A young man has been working as a vigilante for the past year, though it seems nobody appreciates his help, and it’s all became too much weight on his shoulders. Just as he decides to quit, he’s brought into something else entirely. Nico Ryoto learns that the world’s more then he thought, a world full of suffering, where power often goes into the wrong hands. Discovering special rings that control the concepts of reality, and the horrible things wearers have done with such, Nico searches to find every ring to refrain from those with tainted hearts from using them.

“Busy day, short chapter”

"The eyes of what..? Enough with the bullcrap!"

Aku gritted his teeth, plunging his hand forth into her chest, as surprisingly his hand went right through, Rook's interior shown.

"What the…"

There was no blood or flesh, but mere wires and metal. Rook's laugh continued as she grabbed Aku's wrist and tossed him away. She reached to the hole in her chest, covering it as she began to walk away.

"Wait..!"

Aku got back up and ran to her, his sword unsheathed. She turned to him, pulling out her pistol and quickly shooting him in the abdomen.

"You have nobody to blame but yourself. You can come back over and over again. The boy lives but the mind dies."

Aku fell to the ground, holding his bullet wound as he sword left his grasp. Rook took her leave, as Aku crawled forth, trying to reach for her despite her distance, he was all alone here, left to bleed out.

Aku rolled onto his back, his ring glowing an extremely subtle blue as he generated a tiny amount of water, manipulating it into his womb in an attempt to flush the bullet out. This only caused him more pain, no progress in sight as more blood gushed out.

"Help..!"

He screamed, breathing heavily and shakily as he put his weak pressure on the womb, continuing to scream.

"Help! Please.. Help!"

He began to feel cold once more, at a far faster rate than before. His throat felt dry as he coughed blood into his hand, the blood drying out almost instantly.

HIs body shivered, he could no longer get a word out as his skin went pale, frost forming in his hair, his last movements became slow, before he entirely froze in place, silence filling the air.

"Please…"

Rook atood on the top of a building, giving no care to the hole in her chest, a binocular in hands as she looked off to the distance, spotting Nico with a smirk on her face.

"One down, now I can use the other like a puppet…"

She giggled, running forth as she jumped drom rooftop to rooftop at high speeds, her capabilities far more impressive, as she has jo need to hide her robotic parts anymore.

"Little Metal Boy…~"

She suddenly stood behind Nico, whispering in his ear as he was startled, stumbling away from her, his eyes widened to her revealed robotic insides.

"Woah now, are you staring at my chest??"

Nico shook his head, before regaining his composure and unsheathing his sword, glaring towards her.

"The fuck is with you..!?"

Rook sighed, approaching Nico without fear as she ran her finger slowly up the blade of his sword.

"Calm down, Ryoto.. We share similar pasts. Thrown into battle, then turned into half man, half human.. Now shunned by society for our good deeds, only viewing the flaws."

Nico slowly lowered his blade, his eyes slightly widened to her knowledge of him as she closenes to him, an endearing smile on her face, though her emotions were impossible to read.

"Let's make a deal.. a truce..! You help me and I help you.. We can both gain our goals, together.."

She spoke in a soothing goice, Nico gulping as he'd calmed down, a nervous expression on his face as he slowly nodded.

"Good.. Very good.."
