Competition...?

Falkor, Lara, and Isobel were now walking at the other side of the gate as the guide let them through without any questions.

The guide was a beautiful...man. He was so beautiful that even Falkor thought that he was a girl the first time he laid his eyes on his face.

However, the guide explicitly said that he was a man, which cleared up the confusion the three had.

'Hmm...I never saw this man before in mom's personal subordinates. Is he new?' Lara thought as she looked at the guide, who was walking right in front of them.

Lara has never seen this man before when she visited her mother's house numerous times before.

And the fact that she hasn't seen him means that...he was new to her mother's personal subordinates.

And that was weird.

If someone has been added to her mother's personal subordinates, Lara would be notified and her mother would talk about this, too.
