Night Stay At Averna

She took his phone and entered a string of numbers with her slender fingers tapping the screen. She looked up and gave his phone back to him her beautiful face glowing.

"The old man's body lacks nourishment. And he seems to have had a lot of surgeries. So make him eat properly, and if you're going to give him my prescription, don't give him any other medications or tonics. If the reverse impact of my medication comes into touch, it will be detrimental to his health." Zara cautiously stated the problem to Ethan.

Because if someone gave him any tonic as a supplement after she left, and it mingled with her prescription, it would be disastrous, and she didn't want to be held responsible.

"If there's nothing else, then I'll take my leave." Zara looked up and said. "What's your name?" Ethan asked with a cold gaze.

"Zara Adam." Zara said as she looked up at him. Hearing the name, Ethan's eyes showed a bit of emotion which soon was covered by his coldness.

Zara gave him a nod before turning to go. David looked up, followed Zara, and said, "Miss. You can tell me where you need to go. I'll drop you there." Zara indifferently said, "It's OK. My ride is here."

Still, David followed Zara to the hospital's entrance. As soon as they got out, he noticed a man step out of the driver's seat of a car and open the back seat for Zara.

As soon as Zara got in, the bodyguard closed the door looked at David, and gave him an icy glare before getting in and starting the car. David gazed at the car, which was gradually receding into the distance.

The bodyguard peered in the rearview mirror and respectfully inquired, "Miss. It is already late. Do we still travel, or do you want to stay here and travel tomorrow?"

Zara looked at her phone and checked the time. She looked up and said, "We'll leave tomorrow. Inform the crew members and make arrangements for them to rest."

"Ok, Miss." The bodyguard drove straight to a hotel near the airport booked a suite for Zara and informed the crew members.

When David entered the hospital's VIP wardroom, Ethan was sitting on the sofa, deep in thought. Ethan looked up and inquired, "Did she leave?" "Yes, Mr. Anderson."

David stood by the sofa, confused, and murmured, "Miss. Zara does not appear like a simple person." As soon as David mentioned this, Ethan casually inquired, "Why do you say so?"

"Downstairs, she seems to have a bodyguard. He stared at me as if he would have murdered me if she had come downstairs a little later." "She had a bodyguard?" Ethan questioned, glancing at David.

"Yes, Mr. Anderson. With his figure, he didn't look like a normal driver." David said in full confidence. But soon he was shocked to realize that his aloof Boss was hearing everything he had been talking about till now.

In the past, whenever he talked about someone, that too especially women, his boss would send him flying to some undeveloped country to do projects or make him work overtime without any pay.

At this point, the old guy on the bed moved his eyes slightly. David approached the bed and adjusted its settings so that the old man could sit comfortably.

"I asked you to wait for me at the cafe. But you wandered about and had a relapse. Can't you sit in one spot for a while?" Ethan questioned coldly, glancing at his grandpa.

His grandpa is Thomas Anderson, a well-known businessman from his period. The Anderson family is not only the most prominent family in Elbonia but also the richest family in the world.

"You....Are you really my grandson? How can you speak to your grandfather like that? You're trying to boss me around." Thomas was outraged as he looked at his grandson, who had not inquired about his health when he awoke but was trying to reason with him.

"If I'm not your grandson, then what do you think I'm doing here?" Ethan's demeanor remained unchanged as he asked his grandfather. "You're totally out of control now, right? Do you believe you can say anything just because we don't ask or say anything?

"Don't change the topic. What were you doing following the girl instead of sitting at the cafe?" Ethan had previously checked into the mall's CCTV cameras and discovered that his grandfather had followed the girl Zara before having a relapse.

"Did you see that girl? Don't you think she looks familiar?" Thomas was excited thinking about the girl he saw at the mall. Ethan was silent after hearing his grandfather's words.

"Have you found her name? Where is she? She is Zara, right?" Thomas kept asking questions about the girl. David couldn't grasp what was going on. Who is the girl they're talking about? Who is this familiar girl? But hearing the name Zara, David looked up.

"Old Master, are you talking about Miss. Zara?" David suddenly asked thinking about Zara who was with Old Master before reaching the hospital.

"Zara? What's her full name?" Thomas asked excitedly looking at David. "Her name is Zara Adam." David said looking at Thomas. "See, I told you she looked familiar. She's Zara. Don't you remember, Ethan?" Thomas became considerably more delighted after learning Zara's entire name.

Ethan looked coldly at David who couldn't keep his mouth shut at such a time. David didn't know what he did wrong. But he could see from his boss's gaze that he had done something wrong.

Ethan turned to face his grandfather and remarked calmly but coldly, "Grandpa, you know yourself that she's not the one who we think she is."

"How can you say that without doing an investigation? She shares the same first and last name. How can she be somebody?" Thomas refused to believe what Ethan stated and began disputing with him.

"Grandpa, you know why I am saying this. And you also know what happened to Lia back then." Ethan said with a cold expression which made David who stood on the side to shiver in fear.

Thomas became silent on seeing his grandson's expression and did not continue his argument but decided to ask David to investigate the girl.

Inside the hotel suite room, Zara just took a fresh bath and stood on the balcony with her arms crossed over her chest to view the night sky. After some time, she entered the room and messaged the elders in Laurania to say that she was still in Averna and would take off tomorrow.
