To make matters more complicated, Zara quickly gets involved with Ethan Anderson, the heir to a wealthy and influential family who is rumored to be her fiancé. This infuriates Olivia, leading her to spread malicious rumors about them. As time goes by, society starts believing that the Adam family's upbringing is more virtuous and noble compared to those raised overseas, all thanks to the rumors. Olivia becomes green with envy, but everyone gets a rude awakening when Zara's true identity is revealed. Throughout her journey, Zara faces various challenges that she overcomes with the unwavering support of Ethan by her side. Along the way, she also makes new friends while cherishing her old ones. When false rumors start targeting Zara, her four brothers, who have an intense sister complex, step up and confront anyone who dares to criticize their beloved sibling. This leads to clashes with those who try to harm Zara, and when Ethan uses his influence to protect his fiancée, the Adam brothers become furious and tell him, "We don't need your help taking care of our sister." With a calm smile, Ethan responds, "It's my duty to protect the one I love." The brothers roll their eyes at his response.

A Shock To Zara

"Stay on track. Do you have any idea why the Adams terminated their contracts with us?" Mr. Warren glared at Mrs. Warrens and inquired.

"Why would I know? That's why you went there. You should be aware of the reason." "And the reason is your son. Because of him, the younger generation of Adams is unwilling to continue working with us."

Mrs. Warren continued to defend her son and angrily retorted, "How can you believe them? There's no way our son could have encountered those Adam brothers. You yourself haven't met them until today. How could he know them and even have a confrontation with them during their first encounter?"

Mr. Warren pondered for a moment and glanced at Mrs. Warren before speaking, "Well, let's hope that what you said is true. But if I discover that he's responsible for this, don't expect me to go easy on him."

With that, Mr. Warren swiftly exited the room.

Meanwhile, in her study at the Mayledge Mansion, Zara spent the entire day diligently working and giving instructions to her subordinates on the tasks that needed to be completed.

As the clock struck past five in the evening, the gates of the Mayledge Mansion swung open to allow a car to enter the estate.

Although the community had tight security measures, there were still certain privileges granted to a select few.

In the whole country, if a car's license plate combines a letter with a number, it is allowed to enter almost all places in the country.

A Jaguar XJ with the license plate 0AS5 pulled into the estate and parked in front of the mansion's arched entrance. David got out of the driver's seat and opened the passenger door.

Ethan stepped out of the car and straightened his coat elegantly before making his way towards the door. David retrieved the gifts from the trunk and followed behind Ethan.

Butler Mark entered the room to inform the Adam couple about Ethan's visit. When the couple descended the stairs, Kylie inquired anxiously, "Do you think Ethan might have discovered Lia?"

Andrew, holding Kylie's hand, remained expressionless as they walked. He calmly stated, "Regardless, we should have informed them sooner. We can't keep this from him, can we?"

 Kylie agreed, "You're right."

Upon entering the living room, Ethan stood up upon seeing the couple.

As his Boss rose from his seat, David shifted his attention towards the couple entering the living room. It was the first time he had laid eyes on the head of Adam Corporation and his wife, despite having been with Ethan for quite some time.

The man appeared to be in his late forties, exuding an air of distinction with his relaxed yet sophisticated style. He was dressed in a well-fitted charcoal gray cashmere sweater, paired with dark trousers, which gave him a polished yet casual look.

Observing the man, David could sense that Andrew carried himself with the quiet confidence of someone who had held high positions throughout his life.

However, upon closer inspection, David couldn't help but wonder if this was the same man who was rumored to be ruthless in the business world.

Andrew appears to be a caring family man, always willing to fulfill his wife's requests, which is quite different from the ruthless businessman that people talk about.

Beside Andrew stood a woman in her early forties, radiating elegance in a green frock that reached just above her ankles. Her serene and poised demeanor perfectly complemented Andrew's presence.

Kylie glanced at Ethan and grinned, "So, when did you get back from your abroad, Ethan?" "Just today, Aunt Kylie," Ethan replied, his expression unchanged.

Kylie observed the pile of gifts on the side and sighed, a smile of helplessness on her face, "Why did you bring so many things, Ethan? It's not necessary." "Oh, it's nothing major, Aunt Kylie."

Andrew calmly looked at Ethan and said, "Take a seat, Ethan." As the three of them settled down, Ethan gazed at the couple and asked directly, "Uncle Andrew, Aunt Kylie, I'm curious about Zara's whereabouts. I understand it's a family matter, and I can't intrude..."

Kylie interrupted Ethan, saying, "Wait, what do you mean? You're part of the family too. And as for Lia..." Kylie paused, not because she was trying to hide anything from Ethan, but because she didn't know where to begin.

Kylie and Andrew exchanged glances, then Andrew gently squeezed Kylie's hand and motioned towards Ava, who was standing on the side of the living room. "Ava, please go and call Lia."

Upon hearing this, Ethan's heart rate quickened, but he maintained a composed and collected demeanor, showing no outward signs of distress. His eyes instinctively drifted towards the staircase without shifting his gaze.

Ava went to Zara's study to tell her that Master wanted to see her downstairs. Zara assured Ava she would be down soon and allowed Ava to go ahead.

Zara arrived a few minutes later. When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she saw two people in the living room. She immediately recognized Ethan when she spotted him sitting on the sofa.

Maintaining her composure, Zara walked into the living room. Kylie greeted Zara with a smile and said, "Come, have a seat, Lia." Ethan continued to gaze at Zara, berating himself for not recognizing her earlier in Averna.

Kylie glanced at Zara and mentioned, "Lia, I'm aware that you're acquainted with Ethan." Zara simply nodded while meeting her mother's gaze. "And there's something else I'd like to discuss," Kylie added with a hint of concern.

Zara remained silent, absorbing everything Kylie was saying. Kylie then fixed her gaze on her daughter and revealed, "He's actually your fiancé." She observed Zara closely, waiting to see her daughter's reaction to this news.

Despite their long history, only Ethan was aware of their engagement as his mother would often urge him to spend time with Zara during their childhood days.

No one bothered to mention anything to Zara about it because she was still young and her family wanted her to enjoy her life before settling down. They planned to inform her when the time felt right.

Zara was completely taken aback by this revelation. She couldn't believe that she had just come back to the country and hadn't even gone out yet, but now she had a fiancé out of the blue.

However, it all started to make sense to her now. She realized why Ethan would always stick by her side during her childhood instead of doing other things. He would even introduce her to his friends when she would hang out with her brothers.

Zara shot a cold look at Ethan, who was grinning at her. Despite her menacing expression, Ethan continued to smile as if he was oblivious to her glare.

Kylie noticed no change in Zara's demeanor as she concealed her emotions from her parents. Meanwhile, Andrew felt like his world had been flipped upside down in an instant.

His daughter, who had always been his little girl, was now someone's fiancée. It was hard for him to accept, especially since she had just returned home and was already engaged to someone else. However, he managed to hide his concern from showing on his face.
