The Villainess Deserves The Painful Endings

Medea woke up in the palace's infirmary. Sieg seems to have left for an urgent task for a few days.

"I'm feeling OK now, but why are there so many doctors in here when I'm the only one in this room?" - Medea was a little surprised, her bed was surrounded by the royal palace doctors, taking care of her.

After the doctors finished the check-up and confirmed she was OK to leave,

She calls for all of her servants.

"Seig is safe now. But as for my own safety, I must run away and forget all about Sieg now."

"I'll leave him a farewell letter and be on my way" - Medea wrote a letter to Sieg and gave it to one of the Palace Guard.

"I'm going back to Glomwood, please hurry up and prepare the carriage" - Medea tells her servants.

"What should we do if the Holy Knight tries to track us down? my lady?" - Angui.

"They should leave us alone now that the contract has been fulfilled. The knight also has their code of honor, they won't hurt unarmed innocent civilians like us. I'm useless to them now anyway" - Medea.

A few hours later, they reached their house in Glomwood.

Medea casts a simple illusion spell to hide her house from the outside view.

"My role finally ended, Phew!, I'm safe for now" - Medea laid herself down on her comfy sofa.

"Sieg will fall in love with the saintess and forget everything about us, about... me" - Medea.

"I too, should forget him and move on with my life" - Medea.

But the memory of her time together with Sieg is very hard to forget, even though his love wasn't true. She was happy being with him.

Something is wrong with her body, the tears start dripping out from her eyes.

Forcing herself to forget the one she truly loves, is painful. But this is the best choice, it's impossible to get his true love anyway.

This was a suitable ending for a petty villainess like her, a painful and unhappy ending she had to bear. This pain will last long but she has to live with it. She is not the protagonist of this story.
