The Picnic
A week later, Medea's body fully recovered from the last ritual. She then proceeds with the next ritual preparation. She sent the letter to Sieg.
"Greetings Your Highness,
The next ritual will be held at The secluded Altar of Lulina in the Glomwood forest, We will set up a picnic there around lunchtime, and I'll prepare Your Highness's special lunch myself so please don't eat too much before your lunch.
Please stop by my house and pick me up around 10 a.m. tomorrow.
It is strongly recommended that Your Highness comes alone and don't let anyone else come near the altar when we perform the ritual." - Medea's letter to Sieg.
Sieg consulted with Grabus, his adviser, about Medea's letter.
"The Altar of Lulina is a good place for a quiet date, nice pick I suppose" - Grabus.
"Stop joking! maybe that witch is scheming something, why would she want me to go to such a place? Not many people went there anyway, this is suspicious." - Sieg.
"Hmm, maybe we should position some recon unit nearby, just in case she tries to trick you" - Grabus
"Good idea, let's start the preparation work, we might be able to reveal her secrets this time" - Sieg.
Sometime later, Grabus went to the barrack, to inform the troops about the new mission tomorrow.
"We need some men to observe and record the Commander's first date with Miss Medea, secretly, any volunteer?" - Grabus
"Me! Me! Me! Meeeeee!" - Every Knight in the area has volunteered, Knights who are about to go on leave suddenly cancel their leave request, and Knights on duty are crying a river that they can't go.
"If you all left the HQ, who is gonna defend the city ^^;" - Grabus, sweating. but this invaluable magic record is going get millions of views in no time, If I publish it, I'll die by his hand for sure ^^;
The next morning at 10 A.M. Sieg arrived at Medea's house with the magic carriage. Grabus and his knight already went to the ritual site and hid themselves nearby.
Sieg is wearing a light armor knight jacket and moderately luxurious pants.
Medea is dressed in a plain dress for the date, but she looks beautiful in any dress.
"Greetings Your Highness, thanks for coming to pick me up" - Medea's bright smile stunned Sieg for a few seconds, but Sieg held his ground. Sieg escorted Medea into the magic carriage.
They headed to the Altar of Lulina, further north into the Glomwood forest, not so far from Medea's house, the road condition was good so the carriage could traverse it smoothly.
"Don't you owe me an explanation? What is this about?" - Sieg.
"Of course" - Medea.
"Please pretend that you and I are a couple going on a date. Don't worry, it's not a real date, you will have to spend some time with me and complete some of my simple requests until the ritual is done."
"But if Your Highness feels too uncomfortable, let me know immediately, OK?" - Medea is caring as always.
"I got it" - Sieg.
They didn't talk much when riding the carriage, Medea knew Sieg didn't like her so she didn't bother him too much.
Actually, Sieg is trying his best not to look at Medea now, she is like a walking, giant jar of aphrodisiac to him, any wrong move and the ritual will meet an abrupt end, and they both are going to visit the heaven gate again.
The carriage has reached an open grassy area near the Altar of Lulina, nobody is in this area (except the knights that were secretly positioned nearby).
The weather is clear, the open scenery is nice, and the cool wind is refreshing.
Sieg and Medea set up a picnic under one of the large trees near the stone altar.
"Since this is a date, you may drop the formalities and call me Sieg when no one is nearby" - Sieg, to Medea.
"Oh, all right, ... Sieg" - Medea, a little surprised, but at least Sieg is becoming more friendly.
A love couple is sitting next to each other.
"I suppose you didn't eat your lunch yet, I brought some snacks for you, please enjoy" - Medea.
"Sieg, The important thing is, you have to relax first, you are too tense and wary which could break the ritual"
"I'd like to cast some spells to help you relax" - Medea pulls out her small guitar and starts playing a lovingly sweet song, her singing voice is angelic, as the song itself is her spell chanting.
Sieg and the other hidden knights nearby were captivated by her songs, her beautiful appearance, her crystal-clear voice, her smiles, and her graceful movements while playing the guitar, they almost forgot their true objective.
"I want this girl as my wife" - the voice in his head tried to take control, but Sieg got back to his senses.
Medea put down the guitar and took a short break. It seems Sieg is a little more relaxed now.
"Sieg, would you please rest your head on my lap?" - Medea asked.
Sieg complied with her request and gently rested his head on Medea's lap, the knights were surprised that their prideful commander who never yield to anyone before, could be charmed by the little witch.
Medea smells nice, as she gently strokes Sieg's hair and casts her spells. Sieg felt so comfortable and relaxed. But he has to avoid arousing himself by looking up at her large mountains.
"I wish I could be like this with her every day" - the voice in his head.
It's indeed the best date any man could hope for in his life, with an angelic lady such as Medea, sleeping on her soft lap on a peaceful sunny day, and listening to her hums while she strokes your head softly.
After a while, seeing Sieg is relaxed, Medea is now ready for the next step.
"I'll explain the next step of the ritual" - Medea.
"I'll sit on the stone altar over there and drink the potion of the cow mother, then my mountains will produce a magical milk which you have to drink directly from my mountain peak, please be gentle and drink slowly until a part of the curse is lifted" - Medea is blushing while explaining.
