Chapter 14

"I`m going to be honest, I don`t think I`ll survive," I said to Olive as we stood at the school entrance with Elijah. In front of me, I could see students in different places in the hallway. Some were standing, talking, laughing, tossing balls, kissing, hugging and goodness, one of boys was running after a group of girls in matching uniforms. Cheerleaders. I think I remember seeing movie about them.

"Don`t be dramatic," Olive scolded me. Elijah snickered from my other side.

"I`m not being dramatic, I genuinely don`t think I can do this," I mumbled with a sob. Fake sob that is, I wasn`t going to cry now. There were vultures everywhere and I needed to be strong.

Olive reached up to straighten my cap before she handed me a set of papers and took my hand while Elijah pushed me from behind.

"The good thing about your first day is that you have homeroom with us and you get to see the school principal after school since she`s away at a conference," Olive filled me as she dragged me while I tried to dig my heels into the white floors of the school. No luck, the floor was too clean so I was pulled in without a hassle. In my mind`s eye, I remembered a scene from an anime where a character was dragged by another character.

"Great," I muttered. I was not ready for today. Heck I had done everything this morning from trying to sleep in. taking a long shower, faking illness and even not showing up outside. Everywhere I was Rachel showed up and hurried me up. She even kicked me into the car that Elijah was driving. I tried pleading during the drive but no amount of begging was stopping them from letting me skip school.

I did see Richard trying to approach Marcus about the topic of school but Peter and stopped him.

Stupid Apex Alpha.

Being pushed along definitely got some of the students' attention and I pulled my Pikachu cap lower over my face. This was starting out as one of the top ten worst moments of my entire life. The first being the night I was attacked.

"So you have four periods in the morning and then another four, "Elijah outlined my day, "You have lunch and if you have gym, don`t forget to pack your clothes so you can get it washed tonight. And you need to show up to one club activity."

Olive turned to me over her shoulder, "Have you picked one?"

"There wasn't anything for Pokemon," I mumbled with a hump.

"You need to pick something," Olive said as we stopped in front of a classroom before Elijah took over by pushing me inside.

"This is homeroom," He said. I remembered from the movies that homeroom was like the neutral time before the first period. Students would be sitting on their desks, tossing footballs or what ever ball they could get their hands on. The shy girls would be trying to read and hid from the bullies. Luckily I was with Olive, who, honestly, looked like she could take anyone in a fight and win. Spotting some familiar faces, we went to the back end of the classroom where Quin, Ashton and the two girls whom I was sure were Amy and Lana were sitting. If Delilah and Maliah were in this class as well, I was leaving effective immediately.

Elijah greeted everyone while Olive simply smirked. Amy, or the girl I assumed was Amy, because she looked a little bit like Ashton rolled her eyes at her. Lana simply nodded at us.

"Hey you guys," Quin said as I sat in the desk beside him. He was in the last desk nearest to the back window and had his ear phones on. I could hear the beat of whatever song he was listening too.

"Hi Quin, did you get a ride from someone else?" I asked as Olive sat on the desk top and gave her back to the front. She was in the desk in front of mine while thankfully, Elijah sat behind me.

"Naw ,I drove myself," Quin revealed with a grin as he tapped his headphones. I saw it blink red before it went off.

"You have a driver`s permit?" I asked.

"I`m learning, thankfully I was older than the others so it was easy for me," Quin said with a grin. The bell then rang and immediately the students took their seats but they were still talking and yelling at each other. I gulped.

The homeroom teacher stepped in and I was happy to see that it was a woman. She was dressed in a blouse and had glasses. Full smiles. Olive whispered that she was Mrs. Parker. A fellow werewolf. Luckily, she didn`t tell me to stand and introduce myself. She went over a checklist before giving out announcements.

"All club activities are in full swing and all athletic teams are asked to meet this afternoon with your respective coaches, " Mrs. Parker announced before she picked up a bunch of papers from her desk and continued," The science fair is on this year and is taking in new projects," She took her glasses and bit her lip," And the last announcement is that the Spring Dance is right around the corner so please tackle all your school work if you want to enjoy the dance and the after parties to your hearts content. Also, if you wish to change your classes, you have until next month. After that, you`re stuck with what you got so make your choices wisely."

The bell then rang. Everyone stood from their desks. Quin patted my back and said to see me at Period 2.

"We have a class together?" I asked him.

He turned in his tracks and grinned," Yep, Chemistry. See you then Lia."

Some girls quickly ran after him as he left and I shook my head.

"You have English first right?" Olive asked.

I nodded to confirm as I held up my schedule and scanned it. It looked like I have English, History, Economics, Math, then lunch, study hall, Double Textile and Fabrics and finally Gym.

I looked up from my schedule as I stood from my desk and left, "What`s Textile and Fabrics?"

"It`s like Fashion Designing," Olive answered.

My jaw dropped, "We can take that?"

"In this school, we can," Elijah said as he cut out of the classroom. He gave a wave as he ran down the hall. Apparently, both he and the others had the same first period class. Math

"Hey, Olive, we need you," One of the girls in the class called out as we stepped out of the classroom. Olive gave me apologetic looked," I have to see them. It`s the girls from my volleyball team. "

I jerked my chin," Go ahead. I can find my own way. The classroom doors are labeled so it shouldn`t be that hard."

"See you later," Olive said to me as I left her and began my slow journey down the hallways. The door was number 111. It shouldn`t be too far. As I rounded a corner, I saw a bunch of girls standing near the doors of one of the classrooms. When they saw me, they started to elbow each other. Swallowing harshly, I lifted my chin and walked past them. Unfortunately, my new werewolf hearing kicked in and I heard their voices and whispers.

"Look at that ridiculous hat," One of the girls said.

"Yeah, what is she five?" Another said with a giggle.

"Such a baby, no one willingly dresses up like that unless it`s Halloween," the first one added.

"Maybe she`s going to a costume party after first period," Another girl finished. I flinched and hurried my steps until I saw my escape. The girls' bathroom. I powered walked away from those girls and their vile voices. Inside, the stalls were empty and no one was at the sinks. I threw my bag on the floor and took a deep breath to push back my tears. I grasped the sink edges of the fifth sink and tried not to cry.

There was nothing wrong with my cap. I just liked Pikachu. And what was wrong with the way I was dressed. Everyone likes Pikachu right? No, those girls were being mean. They were picking on me because I was new. I knew this. I saw it in the movies. But still, I didn`t deserve those words. I didn`t do anything.

"They should be ripped to shreds for even speaking about me," a voice in my head whispered. "Stupid girls, stupid, stupid, there`s nothing wrong with me," I snarled as I glared at my mirror image and my eyes flashed. They were humans. Humans needed to pay!

Growling, I squeezed the sinks and suddenly they cracked along with all the mirrors. The next thing I knew all the taps erupted and water burst out to splattered me. Gasping, I stumbled back and wiped my face. The water ran down the floor and my bag was starting to get soaked. It was like a huge water pavilion. I scrambled to pick up my bag and spluttered.

I was going to get into so much trouble now.

"Thalia!" I heard someone yelled as the door flew open before I saw Ashton standing in front of me.

"What happened?!" Ashton exclaimed as he wiped his face and approached me

"I don`t know," I explained," I just…they just…everything exploded!"

I gestured to the taps where the water just kept gushing.

"Come on!" Ashton yelled as he grabbed my hand and we left the bathroom. Outside, I could hear students yelling and teachers trying to calm everyone down. Luckily we ducked out of view as the flood gates opened and everyone came running into the hallway.
