The Coronation

Sometimes things aren't what they seem. Arya started to feel as though coming home was like being in prison. There was no contact with anyone but her maids and Commander O'Neal. How was she suppose to help anyone or learn about her powers if she was isolated twenty four seven? She decided today she would make a friend. She needed to find someone who knew the palace and the goings on. After her bath she excused her maids and went about making a plan to figure out who she could trust. After a long while she had it all figured out. The first person she would question would be her maids. They would dare not lie to her. She summoned Lao Ria and Merriam. The questions were short and to the point. Arya was careful not to be to harsh with them since she had not known them that long. She got some answers to her questions and proceeded to the next step. She had to make a plan to talk with Commander O'Neal without him figuring out what she was up to. She needed to know why she was not allowed to go about the palace without a guard. She needed to find out why she was being kept in her room. Why was she not allowed to talk to anyone but her maids? She was going to be crowned Queen of Gala in seven days and knows nothing of her responsibilities or expectations of her. She asked the guard outside her door if she may request an audience with Commander O'Neal. Captain Kalienc's answer was short and sweet "of course" he said. Nothing else was discussed and no emotion was conveyed. Ayra was waiting for an answer when a knock came to her door. As she went to answer a strange feeling set deep in her stomach. The man who stood before her was about six feet plus tall. He had a presence that fit a king. He was muscular and lightly tanned. His hair long and black just past his shoulders. His eyes were two colors of green and orange. He spoke softly but with a demanding tone. Arya stood in trance as if she had no control over her body. What did he want and who was he? Her maids came in rushing behind him. They told her his name was Tristan the Prince of the planet they were at war with. So many questions but the major one was what was he doing here? What did he want with her? She was to have dinner with him and his parents tonight. Arya did not want to accept the invitation but had a feeling it was not a request. As he left her doorway they maid rushed to find an appropriate gown for her to wear for this evenings events. Tristan wasn't the only one coming to dinner. Many other important leaders were to attend. There was Luther of Dorne, Christopher of Omarian and Samaria of Huelian. Arya was placed in a Silver gown with a white lace trim about her neckline. Her hair down to the side in a curling form that traced her jaw line. She was gleaming as she entered the dinner hall. The hall itself was magnificent in decor and the length of the table was enough to fit at least forty people. Throughout dinner Arya expected to hear why they were all present. Towards the end Christopher stood up and announce that the Coronation was to take place now! They had a person of importance come in and take a spot behind Arya's chair. Arya was to repeat the code of Gala. As she was repeating what the man behind her said she noticed that in the code she was to be married. She was now lawfully Queen but not respected as a ruler till she wed. The Coronation was quick and urgent. Arya found the reason being was the Planet was being threatened by another ruler. He wanted a wife and she needed a husband. Prince Tristan was this man and did not seem to mind if everyone knew it. What was she to do? She didn't know him or want to know him. She was discussed at even the thought of sharing the same air as he. Arya was confronted the next morning that a proposal of marriage was made. She had two sun rises to make her choice. Her maids were excited for her. Prince Tristan was every woman's dream. He had money, title, handsome, and most of all Heir to a throne of the most wealthiest planet in the solar system. Arya was informed her marriage would keep her people safe and make the planet prosperious. If she chose not to marry they would find another ruler. A ruler who would produce a Heir not to one but two planets.
