barely a choice

As i awoke from my daze i found myself in a pitch black space and in some desperit attemt of finding out where i was i began to search a for a wall to whitch i could hoppefully find some solice in its solid support. What feels like hours has gone by and i fell as if though i am loseing my mind.

a bright purple mist has starterd to appear along with the sounds of what seems to be wailing.

ok now i'm really creeped out I swore I just saw faces appear in the mist.

Out of mostly fear and annoyance I called out

???:"Hello anyone here"

I waited with baited breath for a response. unfortunately I got one.

???:"Greetings young one welcome to my domain"

???:"What do you mean by domain? and where am I?"

???:"oh my seems as if though you do not remember let me fix that real quick"

A searing pain ran through my head as all my memories came to me. and a sad revelation hit me

??:"well fuck I'm dead"

???"yes you are very much dead josh"

josh: how did I die If I may ask"

???:actually quite painless you were instantly evaporated when the nuke hit your home"

josh: "wait I live in Canada who the hell nuked Canada"

???: "well some how some crazy redneck got ahold of one that was accidently forgotten and well things went from there"

josh: don't those things need like a password or something to launch?

???: some idiot wrote it down and yeah but interestingly there was a message painted on it"

wow i would never have thought this would be how i would die but at the same time it doesn't supprise me.

josh: so what was the message?"

???:i dunno i was too busy laughing at the kid who got killed by a flower pot!"

josh:really a flower pot?"

???: yeah at least he died with more dignity then that one kid in the green track suit"

true I heard about that one some how it ended up on the world news death by flower pot is a way better thing then how that guy died.

josh: so how do you know all this?"

???: quite simple boy I'm death and I have a job for you!

josh: why would death need me? after all its not like I could really do much to begin with!

DEATH: that child is not exactly true you see due to some newer rules that have been made by several other individuals I can no longer use the classic way of removing entire worlds I've had to find newer ways! mainly people similar to yourself who are known as reapers oh and by the way if you turn down this offer well I'll need to erase you since I did pull you from the cycle of reincarnation"

Josh:"damn it thats just unfair so what does being a reaper entitle me to?"

DEATH: "well you can choose your looks and youll get some custom toys oh and before i foget you'll be really hard to kill. . . actually you'll make cokroaches look easy to deal with"

josh:"why roaches?"

DEATH:"they're just a annoying pain to clean up now go ahead and get everything yo your likeing before i set you off on your task!"
