The streets of Elipsa were deserted. But that had to be expected after the gag order was implemented.
The people of this town had just gotten used to the Scavenger's rule, but they were not ready to say goodbye to their freedom.
But life finds a way to thrive even in such conditions. All Lea needed was to find these exceptions to know what she should do next.
She had to give credit where it was due. The man she decided to follow was cautious, and he did not head directly toward the base of the resistance. It even made Lea doubt whether he was part of the resistance.
But something about him made Lea believe this man was no ordinary citizen. The way he moved was too suspicious for her liking.
So, she kept following the man until he was sure he was not being followed. Then he slipped into the poverty-stricken party of the town and quickly knocked on the door.
