Chapter 11: An innocent soul

And as always he thought this little boy would be scared too. After all, he's the king and getting the task of painting his portrait was such a respective, excited as well as the most nerve-wracking job. No one would be there right sanity after hearing this.

When great painters sweated over it, he was just a little amateur boy who did not have any experience. He should be shocked on to death.

However, Yivanna was not shocked or nervous at all. She was just surprised at first and slowly when she digested the news she smiled brightly and nodded her head vigorously. For her, it never mattered whom or what she was painting, what matters the most for her was to get the chance of painting and learning.

Victor wanted to give her shock, instead he was in double shock than her! He felt in just a second his all arrogance and pride has been crushed by the little boy. His bright smile and joy of agreeing to draw him were so high without any hint of anxiety, was like a slap on Victor's proud and gorgeous face.

When he wanted to test his dare to look him in the eye, the boy paid him back with the double dare. As if he was mocking at him 'want to challenge me, no chance!'

Clenching his teeth, Victor somehow controlled his annoyance. But, did not show his dissatisfied expression on his face. He sat down in the chair with his kingly aura and ordered her to make his portrait.

Yivanna was an innocent soul. She loves painting and that's what she wanted from life. A white canvas and some colours. She was not twisted like the King and didn't even get a glimpse of his test on her.

With her free spirit and bright smile, she started to pain his portrait. The more she got deeper into the painting, the more she realized, how graceful the king was! He's like a sun. Just for the watch. No one could get close to him. Or his burning aura would destroy their sanity. And she did focus on it which showed in the picture too.

After she was finished. She let go of her hand gloves and stood straight. *It's done.* and turned the picture towards him.

Victor's eyes stuck on the portrait. It's not the first time he has seen this boy painting. But, this was the first time, he has seen his grace and shiny aura portraited so lively!

If he didn't see him painting, he never would believe that this masterpiece has been drawn by this little amateur boy! Though, it was not exactly perfect. And that's what the beauty lies in his pictures.

He never ought to make his paintings perfect. He always made things so colourful and it came out inside his heart. With full of emotions and that's what made this painting perfect! Just a white canvas and he wanted to give some colour in it as if he has given it a gracious life!

At the exact moment, Victor knew, this little boy has a very rare and unique talent for paintings. He did not only paint, he gave life to those paintings with his magical touch. His hands were very precious. Those were his gems. And those gems should be protected well. His well-adapted talent even made progress in less than a week with the professor.

After a long time, he finally withdrawn his gaze from the painting and looked at the boy. He was watching him with his expectant innocent eyes. They were asking for his opinion. He wanted to learn and grew up with his talent.

However, Victor's brows furrowed all of a sudden. 'Why he is standing so close to me? He did not dare to get closer, did he? This little kid is so daring!' He murmured in mind. 'Did he get courageous just after winning one challenge? He needs to be tamed.'

"Little boy, don't you know, you should not get too close to the king?" He said with a slightly disappointed tone.

Yivanna "....."

She was speechless and blinked her eyes in confusion. She once looked behind the king and again looked up at him. 'What on earth he is talking about!? Isn't he the one who came forward from his seat!? What he is doing!?'

*But, you came in front. I have never moved from my place.* She replied innocently.

Victor "....."

He looked behind and gasped in his head. He was right! He actually walked upfront. 'What are you doing Victor! Getting insulted on your own stupidity!' His arrogant soul screamed inside his head. Such a frustrated and embarrassing moment for a person like him.

He cleared his throat and looked back at Yivanna, who was curiously looking up at him. "Yes, so what I have come in front. It's your duty to take your steps back." He said with his calm and cold tone. Though he was embarrassed and at fault, but did not lose his aura and deep voice.

Yivanna pursed her lips. She somewhat guessed what just happened and it was historically funny for her. However, she managed to purse her lips together, preventing the breakdown in laughter and obliged him, taking a few steps back. *I am sorry, my lord.*

Victor didn't look at her in embarrassment. He nodded looking at the painting "Hmm. Good. You are a good learner."

Yivanna was not someone who could control her laughter. She has a whole history of laughing. Whenever she started laughing, she has a hard control over it, unlike her hands and fingers. And this time too. She couldn't control it anymore and her lips curved up into a smile, which she was trying hard to suppressed under her pursing lips.

Victor arched up his brow "Why are you smiling."

She shook her head *no, nothing, my lord.* 'please just go out and let me laugh. I am dying!' She shouted inside. Poor Yivanna, she was almost on the verge to cry while controlling her laughter.

Victor's brows arched up more. He bend down in front of her. Now he was just a few inches away from her.

Yivanna was not expecting this. She gulped down her laughter, as her breath hitched and she almost choked on her own breath. Now, when he was so close to her, she could read his every features perfectly. And from this close, he was like a Greek God! No, imperfection was there to be found!

Maybe he was presenting herself as a boy but in reality, she was a girl. And when a man like Victor was so close to her, how could she control her madly thudding heart!
