She and Suiyin also turned on their phones to make the room brighter.
"Are you cold?" Rafael asked as he could see Airine's hand shook. Realizing his gaze, she hid her hand back.
"Nothing, don't mind me."
"She has a fear of darkness," Suiyin chimed in.
"Suiyin, he doesn't need to know about that."
"We are all friends, Airine. Both of you really need to pull your act together. Stop fighting all the time."
Rafael expected a retort, like he is the one who started it, but to his surprise, she said nothing. She just looked away and then looked at her phone instead.
"Suiyin, do you have a signal?" Airine asked. She just wanted to surf the web to change her focus when she realized there was no connection.
Airine looked at the bar on her phone. It showed X, making her frown. "Same, weird, why did it suddenly lose connection?"
Rafael walked toward the door. He tried to open it but failed. "The door's locked? Is this their protocol?"
