Declan was seven years old when the Black adopted him. Like any normal child, Declan longed for a complete family and was happy when he was informed that a family had chosen him.
Even though he had entered the Black family and accepted the loving and kind-hearted husband and wife as his new parents, Declan hoped for his biological parents deep down in his heart.
He wanted his father to teach him things when he was growing up, and he wanted his mother to hug him when he was sad.
But his birth mother had abandoned him, and his father just stood there as his mother took him away. At that moment, little Declan felt his father looking at him dispassionately as if the older man didn't care whether Declan was out of his life or not.
Nevertheless, Declan received the affectionate welcome of the Black couple who loved him as if he were their own child. Declan also felt the warmth in a mother's embrace from his adoptive mother and the whole family.
