Kratoski, maximum security prison (Siberia, Russia)

The guards managed to tear me off from the Duke, who landed in a heap on the floor, coughing.

"I'll sue you for attempting murder!" bellowed the Duke's lawyer.

Several guards helped the Duke to stand up. Meanwhile, Agent Chang followed the men that were dragging me out of the room to the control room of the prison Agent Chang, Charles and the Consul entered behind me.

"Are you crazy? Do you have any idea of what would happen if the Russian president finds out that an Interpol committee, with the support of the British and American governments, tried to assault a prisoner in a Russian jail?" hissed Agent Chang, her eyes spitting fire.

"Didn't you want me to get information from that bastard? Let me tell you, Agent Chang, the interrogation has begun."

Agent Chang pressed her lips in a tight light, glaring dagger at me. "You don't even have the slightest idea of what it took to get the Duke in our custody! You just were going to throw all that away because of your personal vendetta!"

"Peter," began the Director in a calming tone, "I understand that this benefit granted by the Supreme Court is an atrocity, and just like you I've lost a lot trying to capture this criminal, but now you have the advantage of having this psycho under your control and in a country where this abominable scumbag has caused so much pain. Think about it and don't blow away this opportunity."

I glared at them, lit a cigar and without saying a word, left the room to join the caravan that would escort the crazy genocidal to the airport.

The armored vehicle guarding the Duke and his lackey was ahead of us. We had a convoy of armored vehicles and an armored MI-24 helicopter escorting us. An old but effective attack chopper from the seventies, it was very popular among veterans and had a low capacity to transport troops, around 8 passengers. Our escort MI-24 was carrying a rotary Yakuchev-Borzov machine gun, caliber 12.7 mm, four rocket launchers with sixteen units each, and four self-directed antitank missiles. With this escort, I doubted that the Duke would try to escape, especially in Russia. The biggest chance of an escape was during the trip to the UK, which mean I had to be prepared.

Mr. Smith, the lawyer and the Duke sat inside the Russian armored truck. The Duke was drinking tea and the lawyer was taking out some documents to sign. Four heavily armed and hooded Russian guards sat in each corner of the truck. Among the documents, there was a tiny cell phone. The lawyer looked at the guards, they nodded and he gave it to the Duke, who dialed a number and waited until on the other side a deep voice answered.

"Your Highness, we've captured four possible hunters." "Results?" the Duke replied.

"Negative, sir, we haven't been able to find him yet."

"Intensify the search. I want those souls that you capture for me to suffer a lot so they won't be as strong in the Astral Plane," the Duke said, laughing and looking at the masked guards who didn't stop staring at him, not even for a second.

"So it'll be, Your Highness."
