what is the meaning of love

i was adoped by the eagle king, but i was never loved by my parents, they are more like happy couple then a happy family.

when i was a child evry night my mama (private maid) use to read me a story, there always used to be a word called love i always ask her about what is the meaning, she always look at me with symphony in her eyes i know why.

Because i was never loved by anyone.She always avoid my question said " i have to go see ya tomorrow princess" " goodnight have sweet dreams". Am i this pathetic for others, i always think why did they adoped me if they never wanted to give the love that i always
