In Ubi Palace

Queen Maria a young beautiful fair in complexion lady with blonde colored hair stood out in front of the royal mansion ordering the guards to flog her palace maid that has broken two pieces of breakable plates in her kitchen, Martha Davis.

"Flog her!, Flog her mercilessly!" She commands the guards flogging the maid.

She's dressed in a long blue gown and heavily pregnant as she clutched tight to her waist.

Martha screamed and pleads for mercy but the young Queen ignored her pleads her pleas as the guards continued flogging Martha.

Her husband, King Richard Wilfred later stepped out from the royal mansion as he's expecting an important visitor, whom was none other than the King Desmond Freeman of Emam kingdom and was surprised to see the scene staged before him.

He immediately questioned his beautiful wife, "My Love, what's going on here?!," And Queen Maria immediately turned and faced him, not expecting to see him outside of the royal mansion.

"Honey you wouldn't believe what this stupid palace maid has done," She reported the maid crying to her husband and he frowned still staring to his beautiful wife.

"She has broken all my plates in the kitchen, even after I had warned them to be careful with it," She said and his frown deepened.

He had thought it was something severed that the maid had done, but a common plate and the level of punishment levelled against her, he shook his head and responded, "My love you know you are pregnant. You shouldn't allow trivia things like this to bother you. I had thought the maid probably stole from you or did something, you know severe.. to be this punished."

He turned and faced the guards flogging the maid. "Enough guards!" He commands and the guards immediately stopped flogging the maid and drop Martha to the floor.

Seeing the maid was breathing heavily like one whom was about to faint as her whole body was bleeding from her torn bruised skin. He ordered, "Guards!, Take her away to the palace physician. I don't want her death recorded in this palace."

"Yes your majesty!," The guards replied and immediately carried Martha away while his wife Queen Maria frowns deepened and she nags at him immediately.

"Honey am not thru with her yet and you dismissed them and ordered them to stop?."

"Fine, you can discipline me on her behalf are you satisfied with that?."

"No!," She screamed at him and immediately rushed back into the royal mansion, shutting the grand entrance door and going back upstairs to her room.

King Richard sighed and shook his head in regret. He wondered why she kept behaving ruthless and mean to the maids. As his friend hadn't arrive he went back into the royal mansion to speak to her.

Queen Maria went upstairs to the second floor and stopped at the dinning room as she spotted her son's maid still feeding her son even after she had left them to go downstairs and punish the other maid whom had broken her plate, as they were living in a two-storey mansion.

She immediately questioned her son's maid, "You!, Why are you still feeding my son up till this hour, Are you stupid?!." And the maid immediately stood up from her chair she dragged closer to feed the young prince and bent her head lowered and replied,

"Am sorry my queen, but Prince Mike here as refused to eat."

"is that so?" Queen Maria shifted her gaze to stare at her four years old son, but he pouted out her lips in irritation and screamed, "Yes mom, Am not hungry!."

"Hmm.." She sighed and quickly walked back to her room as she heard her husband's voice like he was coming up the stairs to the living room as a guard spoked to him on the stairs.

She quickly ignored her son and his maid and went back into her room, locking her room doors and going to relax on her bed, as she didn't want to see her husband.

The maid quickly cleared the dining table, dropping little Prince Mike down, and left the dinning room as she didn't want the queen to return and unleash her anger on her, She left Prince Mike in the living room to play on his own.

King Richard later walks upstairs and went to his wife room door and knocked, but she didn't respond. He tried opening the door and discovered she had locked it from within, He stood by the door and spoked to her.

"My love you should try to always calm knowing you are pregnant with our child." Queen Maria didn't respond to him as she clearly heard him but still laid on her bed, filing her fingernails.

He sighed and left, going back downstairs to the living room as a guard had already informed him that his friend, King Desmond of Emam kingdom had arrived.

Queen Maria later stood up from her bed seeing that her husband had left the door, She went out of her room and called a maid to go tidy up her room. She walks out and went downstairs to go take a stroll in the palace garden. Just then her son, young Prince Mike rushed up to her and she held his hand and they both walked downstairs to the garden.

As they got closer to the garden, she saw two maids seriously gossiping about her and they didn't even notice she was approaching them. She drew closer to them and questioned them "What are you fools discussing about?," And they immediately stiffened.

"Hmm, nothing my Queen. We weren't actually discussing about anything," One of the maids replied with her head bent lowered and she landed her a hot slap.

[SLAPS!]

"How dare you lie to me!, Do you think I don't have functioning ears?," She questioned her.

"Am sorry my queen, we are sorry." They both replied.

"Shut up!. Now will you both kneel down here, raise up your hands and close your eyes. Until I return and ask you two to stand up that you should, else.." She subtly narrowed her eyes at them and walked passed them with her son going to the bench placed at the center of the garden to sit, while the two maids immediately knelt down serving their punishment.

She knew most of the palace maids hated her as some of them had already been working in the palace long before her husband married her but she didn't seem to care as it wasn't her fault. She was beautiful, from a rich family and had long blonde coloured hair and she knew it was mainly because of her beauty that made her husband one of the richest king's in the lands far and beyond to marry her.

She smiled sweetly as she remembered how she and her husband meet at an event hosted by her father.

She walked down to the garden with her son and sat on the bench placed at the center of the garden to view it beauty.

Relaxing there a bit, she got tired and decided to lay down of the bench, And as she was tired, she slept of on the bench.

Little Prince Mike stared at his mother and discovered she was sleeping. He looked for a space to lay beside her but as there was none, he sat down looking around the garden while waiting for her to wake up.

King Richard later came out from the royal mansion, escorting his friend King Desmond Freeman of Emam kingdom, back to the garage where he had previously parked his Jeep, with about four palace guards escorting behind them.

As they got to the garage, they stopped and shook hands, speaking a little more before King Desmond finally entered into his Jeep and left with his bodyguards.

King Richard went back to the royal mansion, As he was about stepping into the living room downstairs, He saw two maids kneeling under the hot sun at the center of the field leading down towards the garden, He frowned knowing it was his wife doings, and he went there to question them seeing the sun was too hot.

Seeing the king approaching them, the two maids heave a sign of relief knowing they would be save as the queen wouldn't pity their knees even though it were about to break.

"Who asked you two to kneel down here?," King Richard questioned as he finally approached them and stood in front of them with his guards standing behind him.

"We are sorry your majesty, Queen Maria asked us to kneel down, as she saw us discussing," They both replied

"Discussing Instead of doing your duties in this palace. Is okay you both can stand up and return back to your duty post."

"Thank your majesty," They thanked him as they stood up with their aching knees and left.

King Richard spotted his pregnant wife where she laid on the bench placed at the center of the garden resting. He walks up to meet her and just then she woke up feeling someone's presence.

"What are you doing here my love, sleeping out in the garden?" He asked as he approached and sat down beside her on the long bench, while she sat up properly.

"Ain't I free to rest wherever I want?" She asked him in return.

"Am not against that, Just that you should be careful and also ensure your personal safety, knowing you mean a lot to me," He replied her and she smiled.

"I know" She said to him and look away.

Just as she stares at the place were she had asked those two previous maids gossiping about her to kneel and didn't spot them there, Her eyes subtly narrowed at him and she immediately question him.

"Honey were you the one whom asked those two maids kneeling down there to get up?, because I remembered asking them to kneel down there!," She pointed to the location and King Richard continues to stare at her.

"Honey how could you honey?. How can you ask them to leave, when I who told them to kneel haven't dismissed them" She fumes.

"My love don't you think you are always over reacting at times?" King Richard questioned her and she stood up and scream, "Ahh!. So you are now supporting and picking on the maids over me your wife?."

"No my love, please calm down, know you are heavily pregnant and you are hurting the baby" He replied.

"Really?. So I hurt everyone?, I hurt everyone including my own babies, Ahh!" She screamed again and starting crying.

King Richard was totally confused on to pacify her while little prince Mike just stared from his father to his mother in confusion.

"My love please don't misunderstand me," King Richard tries to explain as he stood up to pacify her.

"Stay away from me honey!, Go to the maids" she warned him and screamed again, "AHH!!," and then her water broke.
