CHAPTER 8: Don't Die

"Elisa!" shouted Prince Regent. 

"Slow down Yuni," said Rosie. She quickly summoned her magic changed her face back to Elisa. What she didn't know was that Prince Regent had already seen her real face.

Prince Regent's horse finally caught up to her and her wolf. "You did an amazing job!"

Rosie nodded.

"You sure surprise me."

"Thanks."

"And to think you got a white wolf as well?"

Rosie nodded again.

"Who are you?"

Rosie's eyes widened. 

"Who are you really?"

Rosie said, "What do you mean your highness? I'm Elisa Qian. Commander Qian's granddaughter."

Prince Regent chuckled and said with a smile, "Of course." He wasn't going to let her know that he saw her real face already. 

Rosie was riding side by side to him not seeing that Prince Regent was looking at her the whole time. 

Prince Regent smiled at her, that she won't be able to escape with that disguise of hers. He will lure her back to camp and find out who she really is. For he is very interested in her. For the first time in his life he have been intrigued by a woman he really likes. For she was smart, talented, and beautiful. She was a complete package for him. In the past, seeing how wicked, manipulative, and evil some women are he had to caution his heart. Seeing how messy his father's harem is, he just wanted to choose one woman as his wife. Someone who will accompany him faithfully till both their hair turn white. He wants her to stand by his side till the end of his days.

"Oh no!" shouted Commander Wang.

"What is it?" asked Rosie. She turned her head back to look at Commander Wang.

"What's wrong?" asked Prince Regent.

"Prince Regent, we got some soldiers on our tail," said Left Prime Minister.

"Let's head back to camp," said Prince Regent. 

"No, if you do, they will just trap you like before," said Rosie.

"What do you suggest Elisa?" asked Commander Wang.

"I got an idea," said Rosie. She pat her white wolf on the side.

Yuni nodded.

Rosie was going to lure the enemies after her. "Your highness, there's a forest right over there."

Prince Regent frowned. "So you want us to go over there?"

"No."

"What?"

Rosie will take them into the forest where it's dark and dense. They won't be able to see her. She will fight them off one by one. When the coast is clear she will make a run for it. She will disappeared from the prince's eyes. She will make sure to never appear ever again. She will go on living her life like nothing have happened. She will live a quiet and happy life with her grandfather. Till the end of her days no one will ever know who she really is. 

"What's your plan?" asked Prince Regent.

"Prince Regent, you have fought this war long enough. It's about time you let someone take it off your shoulder?" She smiled at him. 

Prince Regent frowned. He then said, "Speak clearly." 

Rosie still smiling at him said, "Go back to the palace, and don't die."

"What?"

"Yuni!" Rosie ushered her white wolf.

Yuni nodded and ran faster ahead. Then she lean to the right, leading astray from Prince Regent and his troops.

They all gasped at what she was doing. 

Prince Regent saw her moving away further and further away from them. He shouted "What are you doing?"

"Leading them astray."

 "Where?"

"You have to live Prince Regent."

"Get back here! We can fight together."

Rosie shook her head. Her long black hair was waving behind her. "Yuni, push forward. Let's go!"

"Yes, Princess." Yuni howl loudly. "AWOOOOOOOOOOO!" Then she ran quickly towards the forest.

"ELISA!" shouted Prince Regent.

"Prince Regent," said Left Prime Minister. "Elisa is already leading them away. Let her go," said Left Prime Minister.

Prince Regent felt his heart dropped as he watched her running away from him. She was running with the enemies hot on her tail. Again she was using herself to save him. "ELISSSAAA!"

"Hurry, we're nearly there," said Commander Wang.

"Hurry Prince Regent," shouted Left Prime Minister.

"ELISA!" shouted Prince Regent.

By this time Rosie was already too far away. She couldn't hear him screaming her name. Her white wolf was swiftly moving her away towards the trees.

Prince Regent noticed that the soldiers were gaining up on her. Was she purposely slowing down for them to catch up to her? But why? He felt his heart thumping loudly. He couldn't let her get hurt. He have to go and gather more men. 

"Prince Regent is returning back to camp," shouted the soldier who was guarding the gate.

They all got off their horse and Prince Regent quickly ran towards the hilltop.

"Hurry! Give me the telescope. I want to see where she's at and how she's doing," said Prince Regent.
