Adjusting to a New Environment

An Rong or now as she would have to start calling herself, Alice, is struggling to find a good place to live. She found someone to help her out with giving her a fake identity with the help of money.

"Hey young lady, are you looking for a place to stay?" an old lady's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Huh, yes?" she answered.

She noticed she was a bit far from the city and was in a more quiet neighborhood.

"Do you want to buy this house from my husband and I, we're deciding to go live with our children." the old lady asked.

"Ummm sure? How much is the house?" An Rong questioned.

"It's a small house so it's not much, it's $100,000 for all of it," she said.

"Alright then, when should I pay you?" An Rong asked.

"Anytime this week, here is the key since the house is already cleared and here is my contact information when you have the money ready," she informed.

"Thank you very much," An Rong bowed.

"Ahhh it's no problem, we've been looking for people to buy this house anyways," she smiled.

"Alright I'll see you then," An Rong waved and walked away.

Now since she has a house, she should go buy a phone and maybe even set up a debit card? Is that what they call it? So many things to do, she's already exhausted after a few hours. She should go buy a phone now, where would those be at? Guess she has to keep walking again until she gets to a shop and ask for directions.

After a while she finally found directions to a mall, meaning there should be a lot of shops there. Things were tough for An Rong since she can't transform and be caught. Trying to find a good deal for a phone was hard especially the newer ones, in general she doesn't even know how to use a phone.

"So how do you use a phone?" An Rong asked.

"Huh you don't know how to use a phone in this day of age!?" the person questioned.

"Yeah, it's embarrassing," she laughed.

The store clerk taught An Rong the basics of using a phone and what she could do with it. Next up is shopping for new clothes, she felt out of place with her old clothes. There were many clothes that were quite expensive, it didn't matter but for such clothes why couldn't it be cheaper. She probably has better luck going to a handmade store that was worth the price.

She looked around and found cute outfits, ahhh it doesn't even matter because no matter what she still couldn't find cheap clothes. Was she a cheapskate? It's already afternoon just like that time went fast unlike when she was still at home. She should start heading back to her new house and put everything away then fly back home to grab more money and check up on the animals.

Once she finally got to the house after trying to find her way back, she transformed into her phoenix and flew back home.

"Hello everyone, I'm back!" An Rong shouted as soon as she landed on the ground.

All her friends scurry out of their homes and greeted her.

"AnAn your back, are you here for only a little bit?" the rabbit asked her, running around her repeatedly.

"Yes, I'm only here for a little bit to grab some of the money again, but also to check up on all you guys," she answered.

An Rong went inside her house and grabbed the money and some food to feed her friends.

"Here is your food for this week, I'll bring more food next time I check up on you guys," she said and patted their heads.

"See you guys then," she said before turning back into a phoenix.

It was 9:35 by the time she got to her new house. It'll be hard to adjust to the outside world but for revenge she would do anything no matter how hard it was. Before she even does that she has to make this house look more livelier and devise a plan to further her revenge.

'I promise to get vengeance for everyone and I promise to find you, my dear brother.'
