Family

"Mom!" Gene recognized the person. He was relieved to see her alive.

He quickly ran to his mother. I followed behind him.

"Gene! Why didn't you tell us you'd come to visit?" His mother was surprised.

"Is everyone alright?" Gene asked with a serious look.

"All of us are fine. Is something wrong?"

"Did anyone?suspicious?come by?"

"Now that you mention it, someone did stop by just recently."

"What did that person look like?"

"I couldn't really see his face. He was wearing a facemask and a hood. He said to give this envelope to you."

Suspicious indeed.

His mother pulled out a white envelope from inside her tote bag and handed it to him. He received it and immediately opened it.

There was a handwritten note on a plain piece of paper inside. Nothing else.

Don't worry about them. I've got it covered.

Don't mess up like me and enjoy your time with them.
