When we stepped out of the office, I couldn't keep my mind off the fact that we were going to disrupt my friend's wedding. Well, Momo would've probably encouraged any form of disruption just to avoid being married to Nathaniel.

"I'm hungry. Let's get something to eat." Auriel walked on ahead to order some food at the counter.

We sat by the window seat, which had a great view of the clear night sky.

Auriel had a serious look on his face while staring outside.

"How did you end up here?" I suddenly asked.

He was surprised by my question.

"An unfortunate accident."

"Are you willing to tell me?"

He paused for a moment before speaking, "After my father lost his job, my family was in danger of losing our house. I wanted to help, so I went looking for a job I could do part time. I went around the city, but couldn't find an opening. That was when I ran into Mr. White. At that time, it seemed like a miracle."

"He offered you a job?"
