Chapter 16

Once the chaos set forth by the incident finally settled, Momo and Cyrus dropped me off at my house. Of course, Momo gave me a lecture on how I should bring her along next time I wanted to snoop around. I stood outside for a moment watching their luxury car vanish into the distance.

I went inside my house and climbed the stairs. The fact that my door was left open told me that there was an intruder in the house. I carefully peeked inside my room.

I was right. There really was an intruder.

"So you're finally home."

It was Auriel sitting on my bed.

"How do you know where I live!?" I exclaimed.

This phantom thief sure had some mad stalking skills!

"It's not hard finding out people's home addresses these days."

"Why are you here?" I paused. "Ah! Could it be that you're planning to surrender?"

"Hell no!"

"Then why else would you be here?"

He paused for a moment. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I'm perfectly fine. Momo and Cyrus saved me before that wolf masked guy tried to hurt me."
