CHAPTER 34 - A QUIET AND SAD DAY IN THE RESORT

ETHAN SMITH POV

I was moved to tears by what Penelope said to me. I was stunned. Lucas was right, I should have told Penelope the truth much earlier and not waited for this kind of moment. I feel so much guilt and I don't know how she can forgive me after this.

"I'm so sorry Penelope. I hope that you can still forgive me. I didn't mean it" he said in tears to Penelope.

"Leave Ethan, please. I am sorry but I don't want to see you again," begged Penelope crying.

MICA PEREZ POV

I'm so shocked until now that Doctor Ethan is actually my beshie's childhood best friend! All my life I thought they just had the same name but it turned out that his best friend and Perfect Doctor are just one person! Omg!

But I also feel sorry for Dr. Ethan at the same time because after he saves my Beshie, she will just send him away as if nothing happened. But of course, I truly understand my beshie. It really hurts when you find out that someone is lying to you and playing around with your feelings.

So for now, I know how much my beshie needs me. I hugged her and comfort her. Dr. Ethan also leaves right when my beshie told her to go out.

"Did I hear it right, beshie? So The Perfect Doctor and Ethan Smith...?" Mica asked, hugging her still crying best friend.

"Yeah beshie, they were just one person. I've really suspected that for a long time. Do you remember? I used to collect everything about the Perfect Doctor. It's not because I am a fangirl or something but it's because I want to find out if he had a mole on his nose, but unfortunately I was not able to find any. I also do have not any time to meet him in person because of the schedule and I don't want to get embarrassed again." explained Penelope.

"Yeah beshie. So does he have the same mole on his nose as Ethan?" Mica asked.

"Yes, beshie. It's very clear," replied Penelope.

"Okay, so it's now confirmed. But why did you just send him away? I mean I don't understand, beshie. I thought you'll talk to him to get some closure, right? Remember beshie?" Mica responds and asks.

"Uhm, yeah. Because I thought that I was already okay. That I can face him and talk straight to him like it was nothing. But the pain came back, beshie." Penelope replied and suddenly cries again. "It still hurts beshie. I still remember everything. I am still hurting beshie, I am so sorry." she added.

I felt sorry for my beshie, I know how much she loves Ethan. And I can feel that she still loves him although she's been in denial about it. Ethan also was one of the reasons why she and her ex broke up.

Sigh, don't worry beshie. I will just be here at your side. I know we can get through this.

-meanwhile...

LUCAS LEE POV

I was surprised by Ms.Thompson's reaction to Ethan. I don't have any idea what Ethan did to her or why she acted that way toward him. But based on Ethan's and Ms. Thompson's reactions I know the reason is way too deep. But it is none of my business anymore. Anyways, I approached Ethan right when I saw him about to leave the small villa. I have to escort him because there are a number of people waiting for him outside.

We successfully got into the car and get to the villa where we staying. I decided to leave Ms. Thompson and Mics at the small villa because the Doctor told me that Ms. Thompson got a swollen foot and they also have to apply some sessions on her to reduce some trauma. And also, of course, it is not healthy for Ethan and Ms. Thompson to be in the same house in the meantime. Let's just make their heads cool and breathe.

So we are finally here at the villa. Ethan was very quiet. I am really not used to seeing him like this. But I know Ethan, and I believe that he will get through this sooner or later.

2 hours later...

"I have to go for a while bro. I have to check on them. If you need something, just call me bro okay?" Lucas said.

"Okay, bro. Take care." Ethan replied.

ETHAN SMITH POV

Right after Lucas left. I decided to get some fresh air outside. I am thinking of leaving the villa and might go somewhere. It is only 4 pm and I still have plenty of time.

I went out wearing only a face mask, I didn't even bother to put my sunglasses on. I called our driver to get me to the kayak place because I know there is a spot there where can I relax and enjoy being alone.

We were almost there when I realized that I had left my phone behind. But I told Kuya Richard that in case Lucas asks about me, just tell him that I'm here at the kayak place.

And finally, we're here. I started walking and went to the spot where the large rock formations were.

Perfect! No one is right here! But hmm? Why there's a lot of slippers here? Well, never mind what is important is that I am here alone and can relax and think peacefully.

-meanwhile...

PENELOPE THOMPSON POV

I woke up and I felt like I needed to go to the bathroom. And when I tried to stand up.

"Ouch!" Penelope fell down and holding her injured ankle.

Sleeping Mica suddenly woke up after she heard her beshie crying in pain. "What happened, beshie? What's wrong?"

"My ankle," said Penelope, writhing in pain. "I remembered that I twisted my ankle when I was surfing. Ah, beshie it hurts!"

Mr. Lee got in time and carried me back to my bed.

Mr. Lee asks worriedly. "Should we go to the clinic? To look at your fracture? Look, it's already swollen."

"No, I'm okay. I'm good Mr. Lee. Don't worry about me I can tolerate this pain. After all the things that I've been through, I am already numb about it. This is just nothing." Penelope said jokingly.

"Omg, beshie. Winner." Mica said laughing.

But honestly, it hurts. Though, I can still walk that's why I know it is not that serious. Mr. Lee also told me that there is no orthopedic here. So I'll be patient and just do a heat press to reduce the swelling like what I did before.

Later, Lucas asked us to go back to our villa. I was hesitant at first but suddenly agrees because I know that I can rest there peacefully I also noticed that there are still a lot of people outside, they probably checking at the Perfect Doctor.

It took about 10 minutes before we arrived at the villa. And the gate is closed.

"Hmm? Obviously, he left. But he didn't even text me. Good thing I have an extra key. " Lucas said in a whisper.

After a minute we finally got in.

I immediately get to my room and went to sleep.

ETHAN SMITH POV

It's pretty relaxing here, the air is very nice. Until I heard noises. Oh no! Several children running and It looks like they're going here. There is no way I can ask for help, I don't my phone right now. I'm dead...
