CHAPTER 16: On Her Own

Their flight to Paris was about 2 hour and 30 minutes straight without transit. So for the time been, Sarah was still excited. but a few minutes later she decided to take a long nap since she doesn't want to tired herself when they reach Paris airport. Before, she already plan what she wanted to do. Enjoying the beautiful scenery, what culture they have, what kind of food, sight seeing and other things that she could think of. She already see what Paris was like, but it is different when you only see picture and when you experiences the scenery itself.

While Josh, after the plane was already moving up. He had already taken his laptop from his business beg and turn it on. Before he took a nap, he have to finish his work so that when his on vacation . No work will he do especially when his spending every night with different women, it is his opportunity to let loose since he rarely take any break from work when he started work at his father's company and reach to become the next CEO.

After finish doing all the work he had, he already send it to his secretary to do the rest of it. And when he already did that, he turn off his laptop and put it back to his business beg that was put below his feet. Before he took a nap, he look at Sarah whom is beside him. He could tell that this was her first time to Paris, he could see that a few days after he told her that their were going to Paris for vacation. She has a spark in her eyes, and she was already packing all the things that she needed during their stay there. Well, i couldn't care what she wanted to do since we will do things on our own after reaching there. He thought.

Soon they already arrived at Paris airport, from the airport to the hotel where they were staying. Josh's secretary had already made the arrangement. So after Josh and Sarah had already gotten their luggage, a car with its driver waiting for them. When the driver saw Josh and Sarah, he greets them, open the car's boot and put the luggage. During their way to the hotel. Sarah eyes never leave the sight she sees outside the car, she feels fascinating to all the building and all the people there. It was a bit different from the city that she grew up to.

Arriving at the hotel Le'Dro, while the driver takes their luggage to the lobby. Josh goes to the counter and as if there is any room booked under his name, the receptionist had confirm and she gave the room card to Josh. Their room is the most expensive one, it have 4 bedroom, living room and so on. Just like apartment. The hotel worker brought their luggage to the room where their were staying. When Sarah goes in, she could see that there are so many spacious and luxury brand furniture. She was so amaze seeing all of it. Different from Josh whom already use to it seeing luxury room since he was born with silver spoon.

Both of them have a room, so after Sarah goes in her room. She walks around the room and look every furniture that she touches. She feels like a kid again but she doesn't mind since she experiences a new life after she had married Josh. After she finish looking at all the furniture in her room. She starts unpacking, put her cloths at the wardrobe and hang it. When she finish it, she goes out and saw that Josh was seating at the sofa while holding a drink. He saw her come out of the bedroom. There were silence for awhile until...

" Well, now that we here. You can go where you want and do whatever you want. The both of us agree to this. So soon i'll be going out to the club, don't wait for me. Sarah just watch Josh put down his glass at the sink and walk towards the door. It was a bit sad since it was only just her to enjoy this vacation alone without anyone. What Josh had said, she never agrees to it, she knows that it will took her some time to let her in into his heart. If not become love, with just a spark of friendship Sarah will be grateful. But every time she wanted to get close to Josh, he would just push her away and she doesn't know what to do.

And true to his word, Josh never came back after he had been gone for almost 5 hours. Now it was already 3.48a.m. Sarah couldn't sleep because she was hoping to see Josh came back, so she was watching television while waiting. But until she feel asleep, she never saw him came back. Josh came back at 5.50a.m, when he enter he saw Sarah was sleeping at the couch while the television is still on. After he switch off the television, he went back to his room and took a shower, soon after that he put on his clothes and goes out again. He never plan to sleep at the same space as Sarah, he just came back to take a shower and changes his clothes. He actually had another room that he personal booked so he could spend time with other woman. Since he knew that his father would monitor him and Sarah trough his secretary.

Sarah woke up after the sun had rise, she look at the clock that was hanging in the wall it was already past 8. She jolt because she didn't expect to woke up late for her first day in Paris, she remember that she couldn't not longer keep her eyes open and fell asleep. She didn't even notice when Josh got back. Before she goes to the bathroom, she just want to make sure that Josh had already at his room or not. So she knocks on his door and called him but there is no one answer it. a few minutes she try, in the end she tried to open up the door and it did. The door was unlock.

There is no Josh in his room, only the clothes that he wear was laying on the bed. So he came back to change his cloth then goes out again? Sarah thought. He really means it when he say that they just enjoy their own freedom on this vacation. She got out from Josh room and goes to the bathroom to freshened up.

In an hour, Sarah have finish getting ready. She just wear simple clothing which it is comfortable to go out and do sightseeing. Before that she goes to the lobby where the hotel had a dinning restaurant. She could really adapt fast with the environment there, so she was glad to that. The only thing that made her vacation seem dull is that she enjoy this vacation on her own.
