Chapter 39: I'm Alive

A huge gush and cut in the clouds in the sky as they showed the crystals shining from the top and Alex being on the ground sensing a feint soul 'How do clouds form in here.' he wondered feeling his body being healed by Minor healing. The small injuries were healed and Alex was now able to move.

'She is still alive.' he sighed staring at the huge gush that was 10 meters wide and length of 100 meters. Alex started walking slowly his body was not fully healed but the injuries that Minor healing could do were done. Soon enough he reached a scene of a woman whose white hair was now red from her blood.

The once beautiful and lustful body was destroyed, as she bled greatly, "The dragon's vitality is truly amazing." he said staring at her appearance and noticing that she was healing but at a slow rate. He extinguished the eternal flames that were destroying her from the inside as the healing process increased slightly.

"Now am going to give you two chances." She saw the appearance of an emperor in her eyes who looked down on the world itself, someone she couldn't refuse as her life, happiness, and many more were in his hand. His divine visage showed raising his hand and a black sword appeared, "Fealty or death?" A contract appeared before her.

Before anything happened, she showed a shocked expression and laughed slightly, "Hehehe," she coughed out blood "Taming a dragon that's new." A forced contract was already done which she couldn't refuse but another contract which was a Normal contract appeared before her.

"I knew you would refuse so this was another option," he answered.

Feeling the connection, she had with this man she smiled and inquired "Then why would you put another contract."

"Simple Talking to a dragon that can damage a soul is dangerous, even if they're injured, so that contract is for you not to refuse death and for me to kill you if need be," he answered shocking the woman below whose body healing speed increased. 

"But how..." she said but couldn't get an answer at the cold eyes under the mask waiting for her answer which would decide her death or life. 'M maybe.'

"How about you become my dragon rider." Alex stood in shock.

Why was the question in Alex's mind knowing very well what a dragon rider was?

Simply becoming a dragon rider is a contract that combines beings, the dragon will get some of your power and the rider will get the powers of the dragon. This means he will become a dragon in simple terms which is gaining its bloodline and not becoming a true dragon.

The dragon race looks down on everyone because of the knowledge they gained at birth from their God. Ancient knowledge of the void era when Gods once walked the land and it also locks the lives of those in the contract being unbreakable.

It is something eternal, so Dragons are mostly careful about who they choose. "Why would you do that," he asked.

"Hehehehe someone like you will become a God or something else. But I trust you my eyes don't lie." She said,

'But you tried to kill me.' Alex thought but She laughed and answered.

"Why would I choose a weak rider," She smiled and Alex sighed as he answered her.

"Okay, then I will become your dragon rider." She had fully healed at this point as she stood up nearly naked. She didn't care as a crimson-red contract appeared in her hand and it moved to Alex, "Did you create it or something." 

"No, all dragons are born with this contract in their soul." Alex worried and stared at the ancient language with a frown visible on his face.

"I can't sign this." he responded which she wanted to ask, and he quickly explained, "The moment we both sign this soul will become a vessel of the Dragon God." 

She stared at him with a strange and shocked expression as she inquired "How can you read such an ancient draconic language which even our Elders can't." she inquired greatly shocked which Alex didn't answer and he stared at her. She sighed "Is that bad."

"Yes it is, Our life is under his control, you can't ascend to becoming a God, and you as his Vessel meaning that he can take over your body the moment he dies or feels like it." She was even questioning Alex's words because her eyes can see through lies by seeing the soul. She was shocked and couldn't believe it in any way, but she knew that it was the truth. 

"They are the benefits of gaining one's power but still, is that worth the cost of your life." He asked as he stared at the contract leaving the dragon shocked in disbelief. 'Can I overwrite or create the same contract.' He touched the contract.

[Would you like to overwrite this Lineage contract.]

[Yes / No]

He smiled as he tapped yes, but a burst of crimson aura was released from the contract something he didn't expect to happen.

[Warning the Dragon God, was alerted.]

[The Dragon God is trying to defy the world's law to destroy your existence.]

[It was successful.] When he thought it was over another notification appeared.

[The Dragon God is trying to use the contract as a connection to curse you.]

[From the 5 curses only 4 were removed, the last one can only be removed when the host has enough soul power.]

"What the fuck." everything happened in a blink of an eye both were standing there with Alex mostly shocked and he couldn't understand.

"What happened." She was also shocked and couldn't understand before she saw something "You are cursed."

"This isn't good you are going to be hunted down by every dragon in existence." she notified him. "How did this happen; you weren't cursed a minute ago what happened." She wonders which Alex answered.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, am still alive." She was confused not realizing in that microsecond Alex almost died, He sighed "What curse is it." he asked in a calm tone which stunned her.

"I….. hah it is a curse that appears on people's souls when they have defied the Dragon God or killed a Dragon. Also, when you people get Cursed every Dragon in the world will know your location but this is weird." She said seeing and adding. "I can't sense your location at all or see the line of life what's going on."

"But you noticed that I was cursed," Alex replied.

"That's because of my eyes that can see souls." Alex understood because he could also see souls with his eyes already. "Anyway, can you at least tell me what happened?"

"Hahahaha I was trying to overwrite the contract and your god reacted," he answered continuing with overwriting the contract. 'So, the System didn't just hide me from the Dragon God himself but other Dragons. So only Dragons of her kind that have her eyes can see that am cursed.' She was speechless and never thought something like that was possible. That is when she realizes that this man has been shocking her from the moment, he entered this realm.

 "What is your name?

 "Ximena" she replied deep in thought.

"Okay then Ximena, do you still want to sign that contract." Alex changed some things on the contract when he overwritten it, but she didn't even think about it.

"I will be an idiot to say no," she replied signing the contract as their soul shone with a brilliant light, and a connection was formed.
