Killing the assassins

[Warning! The assassins are overloaded with ether]

"Host should kill the enemies so that the academy doesn't get blown into pieces." warned the system.

Gabriel heard system's voice and this reminded him of the suicide bombers on earth. He wanted to beat them to pulp and extract information about their boss or employer but system's warning made him to take the killing route.

An assassin came at him with dagger and performed 10 slices within 10 seconds. The ether has boosted their fighting speed and capacities. Gabriel understood that he cannot take this fight lightly because even though they are many levels lower than him, if they use right methods to counter his attacks, he would be in danger.

One of the assassins joined the guy and used a great axe. Gabriel transformed both of his hands to swords and fighting both of them. Other assassins also jumped into fray and decided to go at him all at once. Gabriel kept his cool and fought them all by not letting them surround him by jumping into air and landing outside the assassin circle.

He saw that those guys does not seem to be in right mind to use their ether for utilizing the powers that are inherently present in them. "Perhaps it is the effect of ether overload that they are not risking to use their powers." thought Gabriel slashing his sword on an assassin and cutting him into half.

The assassin's body got torn into two parts and the ether around him disappeared as if it wasn't there at all.

On hearing the system notification Gabriel knew he hit the jackpot. As soon as he crosses the Level 40 mark, then he would be in Country realm. That was enough for him to rival the vice principal.

Other assassins didn't care and came at him all at once. Gabriel transformed his hand into a gun and kept his right hand as a sword.

He ran and let the assassins chase him. He lured them all into a class and jumped onto the tables lined up. The assassins also did the same and one of them came at Gabriel with a mace. Gabriel blocked the attack with his sword and put the gun directly touching the assassin's heart and sent a primal energy bullet.

A big hole formed and his heart burned away killing him. Gabriel kept running on the tables and jumping. One of the assassins put his hands together and sent a red blast. Gabriel saw that the attack is "Ether blast".Gabriel let the attack come and he sliced the throat of an assassin and lifted his body to act as shield.

The ether blast hit the dead assassin and his body turned to ashes. Three assassins surrounded Gabriel with daggers and infused their daggers with ether.

Gabriel transformed his sword into shield and when assassins came at him he blocked several slices but there were sever cuts on his shoulders and hands. One of the assassins came at him from back and plunged a long sword in his back shoulder with ether on it.

Gabriel felt intense pain due to the attack and he fell on his knees trying to resist the pain and used the shield to deflect an attack. The assassins who saw Gabriel kneel did not let their guard down because they already knew how Gabriel defeated the 4 guys.

The weapons of their started glowing with energy. Blood from Gabriel's wound started flowing and it kept on flowing like a waterfall falling down onto the ground.

Gabriel knew that if the attack was aimed at his neck and it would have been fatal if he got pierced. Thanks to him bending an attack from the front, he could avoid the attack. He could use his trump cards now but if enemy has more tricks up his sleeve then he would be at a disadvantage.

The commotion and the sound of fighting had reached some of the elven and dwarven superheroes on the academy field. Luell, Aubrette and Iron fangs came there as they were tasked to do some work for the Heavenly blades.

They heard the slicing of swords and blasts. All of them asked the guards to open the doors because a fight is going on inside the academy building. The guards who are also superheroes came running and opened the academy doors to enter.

The sounds became more audible as they entered inside. Gabriel stood up and cracked his neck.

He took a Judo stance and put forward his hand and waved his fingers to come at him. An assassin with dagger came at him, Gabriel dodged the blade and caught hold of his shoulder in a lock and tear opened his hand by pulling it. The assassin screamed in pain as his hand got ripped off. Gabriel did not give him anytime and immediately used his leg to stomp on his neck crushing his wind pipe in an instant killing him.

Gabriel's one eye twitched due to the wound He could heal the wound by drinking it but showing it to the assassins will be a danger as someone could be watching him. Two assassins came at him with two long swords and tried to slash his chest. Gabriel knew that he cannot defend the attack so he made backflip. The assassins were relentless and kept on slashing and piercing their long swords.

Gabriel had to duck, dodge and evade a lot of attacks. He waited for 10 seconds and found an opening at his legs.

Gabriel swiped the legs and the assassins fell down. Without wasting any time he crushed their wind pipes with his legs. There was no resistance as Gabriel crushed them. Other students and superhero guards appeared and saw Gabriel engaged in fight with assassins. They looked at two dead three dead bodies inside the class and other one on the floor few meters away from the class.

Aubrette, Luell and Iron fangs knew that Gabriel is their rival but at this instant they kept the rivalry aside and started bringing out their powers. Gabriel saw them and said "Don't. They are overloaded with ether. One energy attack is enough to make them explode and destroy the building.

That is the reason why Gabriel didn't use Cannon and Blaster rampage all this time. He only used gun rampage to send bullets filled with primal energy but since he lodged it directly into heart of the assassin, the explosion did not happen.

Gabriel's words made all three of them stop their attack and they were left paralyzed. The two superhero guards present there were also helpless because they were heroes with energy attacks rather than combat superheroes.

Aubrette heeded his words and said "Go and inform Vice Principal Balthazar." to Luell who nodded and made way to the ground.

There were some combat arts students in the crowd but they were in Heavenly blades so they decided not to help Gabriel.

The winter term Celestial shadows class representative "Carver Ross" received news from one of the students that Gabriel is fighting a group of assassins with ether overload. He immediately stood up and made way to the building. He knew how dangerous ether overloaded assassins are because when he went to a mission few months ago, he met these guys and lost 2 of his friends from explosion.

He tried to find out who is the one behind those assassins and was busy with that. That's the reason why he didn't pay much attention to the new celestial shadows class. But he never expected that he would find them again.

As the Celestial shadows saw their leader leaving, they also made way to the building. Balthazar received the news from Luell and they both made their way to the building. Balthazar is angry to the core because someone had the gall to send these guys into the academy and especially to kill Gabriel.

He knew that Gabriel is not a troublemaker and only kept to himself all this time. But trouble seems to follow him everywhere. He also did not understand how so many assassins infiltrated the academy as students with such high security measures.

Out of 15 assassins, there were still 11 left. Gabriel who kept on fighting their ether coated blades is able to defend and attack at the same time.

The students over there including those in Heavenly blades were awestruck because Gabriel is fighting them head on even after the terrible wound is inflicted him. Gabriel caught hold of the leg of an assassin and lifted his body with the leg and used it as a cricket bat and hit the assassins around him and they all fell down. He lifted that body to the top and threw at 4 assassins who came at him.

Gabriel using his brute strength to fight these guys rather than use his powers. This is the reason why they were unable to comprehend how he is fighting like that.

Two assassins jumped on him and Gabriel from left and right. As they were about to slice him, Gabriel jumped up to evade the attack and landed two punches on them. When they fell down, he approached them immediately and crushed their wind pipes killing them.

On seeing Gabriel killing those guys without hesitation, the students were afraid. They could not find any regret of killing people in his eyes. Gabriel didn't even flinch while killing them. That is the most frightening thing about him that made them afraid. The heavenly blades understood now that those 4 rich brats were lucky because Gabriel held back and did not kill them.

Balthazar and Carver appeared and saw the fight going on. Gabriel's clothes were torn and his body is riddled with scars but kept on fighting. When Balthazar saw the overload of ether on them, he was even more surprised because Gabriel did not use energy attacks to kill them and fought them using martials arts and weapons.

He went inside and Carver followed him. "Don't leave them alive." said Balthazar to Carver. Carver nodded in agreement.

The two of them engaged with 4 assassins while Gabriel handled five assassin. Balthazar had killed when people went out of control. Usually the association has a no kill rule so superheroes aren't allowed to kill people but there have been instances where people who lost sense of selves due to their powers caused a lot of death. So, association had to rethink and came with a relaxation.

If the criminal or an organization is of human weapons who lost control, then superheroes will be allowed to kill but they should kill those guys with their combat capabilities instead of energy attacks to prove that they were out of control.

This relaxation is allowed only to high level heroes instead of lower ones because it can be easily exploited. Since Balthazar is one of the high level heroes, he also has authority to give an order to kill or not.

Gabriel who had enough of this non sense caught hold of two assassins by their neck and crushed them with their bare hands. Balthazar who killed one of the guys saw the killing and Gabriel's face. There is no expression on his face. He is killing them without remorse.

Three assassins came at him and Gabriel transformed his hands into guns and launched his bullets onto the hearts of all the three killing them. There are three ways to kill an opponent overloaded with ether. One is to crush his windpipe and other is to stop their hearts any way they can or cut their body into two halves. It is explained in one of the lessons in the academy which Gabriel paid attention to.

Balthazar and Carver took another two minutes and crushed their hearts with brute strength. Both of them had common powers of brute strength.

Gabriel who had to fight a tiring battle slowly walked and sat leaning on a wall. He took out a health potion and drunk it. The wound disappeared and his face regained vigor.

Some of the instructors heard what is happening came and saw all the dead bodies in the room. Gabriel's dress is filled with blood and same is true for vice principal and carver.

Fiona is one of the instructors saw exhausted Gabriel and came to help him. She might be mischievous but she is one of the neutral instructors in the academy not caring about social status.

Balthazar and Carver looked at each other with concerning expressions. Gabriel stood up and Fiona supported him and took him to the dormitory for recovery.
