"Grython snake?!" Allen gasped in shock and immediately flew backward towards a large tree, his feet landing on the trunk.

"Damn it! How did that snake suddenly appear and find me?" Allen furrowed his brow and grumbled.

He hadn't expected the snake to be able to track him down. He had taken precautions to conceal his tracks and had even altered his direction to confuse it.

Suddenly, realization hit him like a lightning bolt.

He recalled his battle with the water dragon in the lake.

"That's got to be how this snake found me!" He took a deep breath, the explanation finally making sense to him.

"Whoosh!" Just as he was lost in thought, the colossal Grython snake charged toward him with alarming speed.

"Wind Magic: Acceleration!" Allen cast the spell and swiftly vanished from his position, reappearing a hundred meters behind in the shelter of a tree.

"Boom!" The snake's bite tore through the dozen-meter-tall tree, shattering it instantly.

"Shhhhssst!" Its red eyes seethed with overwhelming hatred and anger as they bore into Allen.

Realizing that the snake likely identified him as the one responsible for Grython's demise in the cave, Allen didn't hesitate.

He bolted without wasting another second.

"Wind Magic: Accelerate!" His body vanished from its spot, propelling him through the forest with the swiftness of the wind, darting between trees.

"Shhhsstt!" The Grython snake elongated its body, rising to the height of a towering tree, its fury unabated.

"Whooshh!" Fueled by spite and wrath, the snake swiftly contorted itself, relentlessly pursuing Allen.

Trees in its path crumbled as it bulldozed through, determined to catch its prey.

"Whooshh!" Allen leaped from one tree to another at an astonishing speed, utilizing his utmost strength to evade.

"This snake is incredibly dangerous, and I'm not equipped to handle it in my current state!" Allen cursed internally, channeling his mana relentlessly to sustain his acceleration spell.

Thankfully, thanks to the life crystal ball, his mana reserves were repeatedly replenished, rendering his mana effectively limitless.

"Boom! Boom!"

Abruptly, an exceptionally loud explosion reverberated, as though signifying a colossal collision occurring behind him.

Instinctively, he swiveled his head, glancing rearward, only to be left utterly dumbfounded.

"This is insane! This snake's vendetta against me knows no bounds!" Allen murmured in sheer disbelief.

"If this continues, I'm bound to be apprehended eventually. After all, my strength couldn't surpass that of mysterious-level monsters!" Allen mused, swiftly regaining his focus and searching for an escape route.

"Well, it looks like I don't have a choice. Whether I want to or not, I'll have to fight it!" Allen determinedly muttered to himself as he continued running.

"Earth Magic: Landslide!" He whispered, and suddenly, the ground beneath him shook violently, as though on the verge of collapsing.

Without hesitation, Allen launched another spell simultaneously.

"Wind Magic: Fly!" He chanted the incantation while leaping.

"Whoosh!" Just as he sprang into the air, the tree under his feet trembled violently, crumbling as the ground supporting it gave way.

"Shhhhssst!" Consumed by its rage and hatred for Allen, the Grython snake failed to notice that the terrain ahead had collapsed. It pressed forward obliviously.

"Boom!"

As anticipated, the snake plunged abruptly into a deep chasm formed by the landslide.

"Shhhsst!" The snake struggled relentlessly to rise, but its colossal body had become trapped within the deep chasm created by the landslide, rendering its efforts futile.

Meanwhile, floating in the sky, Allen observed the scene below and let out a small sigh of relief.

"Timing was crucial; if I hadn't acted swiftly, this snake might have pursued me relentlessly, even if I used fly magic, and tracked me to Frey's mansion using my scent," Allen reflected, his head shaking slightly.

Undoubtedly, had this Grython snake not been stopped, it could have posed a grave threat, potentially endangering the residents in its mad pursuit.

Determined not to let his recklessness harm others, Allen's lips curled into a slight, cold smile as he contemplated his next move.

Contemplating whether the magic he had mastered in the True Mage class would prove potent enough to injure or even kill the enigmatic-level Grython Snake, Allen's mind churned.

With unwavering determination, he raised both palms towards the heavens, invoking the most formidable spell accessible within his class as a True Mage of his caliber.

"Fire Magic: Fire Meteor!" Allen whispered, and suddenly, above his palms, a colossal fire vortex materialized, spinning at a rapid pace.

The ambient temperature surged drastically, causing the nearby vegetation to catch fire due to the scorching heat.

Meanwhile, the Grython snake ensnared within the depths of the avalanche pit observed this phenomenon with unwavering focus, its gaze unflinching.

"Shhhsst!" The snake hissed, displaying no inkling of fear.

It almost seemed confident that Allen's magic wouldn't pose a threat.

Allen took note that the snake had ceased its struggles and was now intently locked onto him.

"Heheh! Let's see how you handle this!" Allen exclaimed as he hurled the colossal fire meteor toward the Grython.

"Whoooshh!" The fire meteor descended leisurely, leaving a trail of incineration in its wake.

The oxygen surrounding the area combusted wildly due to the intense reaction caused by the fire meteor's immense heat.

Exerting himself as he launched the fire meteor, Allen found himself gasping for air while his mana depleted rapidly, as if evaporating.

Yet, a similar sensation like before swept over him as his mana swiftly began to regenerate, aided by the passive effect of the life crystal ball.

Fatigue lingered, but his vitality was restored thanks to the Crystal ball of life.

"I wonder if this can at least hurt this Grython snake?" Allen muttered as he watched the fire meteor slowly go towards the Grython.

"Shhhsstt!" The snake was not afraid and leaned its body to stand upright in the deep hole.

"Shhhsstt!" Unfazed, the snake repositioned itself within the pit, adopting a more upright stance.

Even in its colossal form, it fell short of matching the pit's depth.

"Boom!"

The fire meteor collided with the snake, triggering a massive and frenzied explosion.

The atmosphere turned intensely heated, and Allen, witnessing the spectacle, promptly initiated another spell by clasping his hands together.

"Earth Magic: Four Walls!" The ground surrounding his spell and the Grython snake quaked, forming four immense earthen walls.

"Unite!" He commanded, closing his right hand into a fist.

The four walls swiftly converged, encapsulating the fire meteor and the Grython within a confining enclosure.

"Boom!"

Despite being muffled by the four massive walls, the explosion's resonance was formidable.

"Did it work?" Allen panted, his eyes locked on the scene as he awaited the outcome.
