While the sun was in the centre of the sky, Marcus woke.

Looking around the room, he saw that Tess and Elanor were still sleeping, but Roxy was nowhere to be seen. Yawning, he got up and left the room.

Trevor had referred to the room as a spare bedroom, but the room was completely empty, save for a few spare boxes. It was located at the top of the house, accessible by a ladder.

Marcus left the room by going down the ladder, and was met with a pair of identical children, a boy and a girl that were around half his age. As he came down the ladder, the girl ran off down the stairs to the bottom floor. From their dark, black hair, Marcus figured that they were Trevor's children.

The ladder up to the spare room was found at the end of a hall, with the stairs at the other end of the hall. There were two rooms on either side of the hall in between the two.

"Uhm, hello?" Marcus said to the child, unsure how to approach the situation.
