CHAPTER 43

The trio all decided to meet at the cafe to go through the footages Cha Eun had acquired.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Da Yeon yelled with fury in her eyes as she shot glaring looks at Yoo Na who was walking along the halls alone.

"What are you ranting about now?" Yoo Na asked, with frustration etched on her face.

"I'm ranting?! Look at this wench!" She hissed angrily.

"Haven't you noticed?" Yoo Na asked with a blank expression.

"What?"

"You're fucking loud and you nag a lot like the little spoilt bitch that you are and...I'm not surprised to see Nam Joo following you around like an obedient little puppy, at least he might get an invitation to the event with your help since his family is not as well off as yours." Yoo Na burst out in a mixture of frustration and anger, clearly had enough of the two annoying blockheads in front of her.

Da Yeon's eyes widened at her retort, she never expected Yoo Na to explode out on them like that and Nam Joo was the mist shocked because even if he didn't accept it, he couldn't deny the fact that his background status wasn't as groundbreaking as In Ra's and Da Yeon's and the real reason he was friends with them is because he did the dirty works for them and it made him feel more superior than the others with same background as him but it didn't change his background.

Her words went through him sharper than a knife and he was about to pounce on her with anger in his eyes but she swiftly twisted his arm as he attacked her and swept his feet off the floor with hers, making him fall hard on the floor with his butt hitting the hard floor and he groaned in pain while Da Yeon moved steps backward away from her as she watched her manhandle Nam Joo.

"I thought you would grow smart enough not to attack me again when you obviously don't have a backbone." Yoo Na said as she tsked, staring down at the hopeless boy but he didn't give up as he rushed up on his feet and tried to attack her again with speed but she reflexively moved away, dodging his attack which sent him crashing into the wall, he groaned in pain as he fell on the floor but he didn't get up anymore as he laid there groaning in pain.

Yoo Na immediately felt her hair being harshly pulled by Da Yeon but she only hissed in pain as she pulled it with so much force.

"You bitch! You should have some manners when talking to your superior!" Da Yeon said angrily as she continued pulling her but Yoo Na managed to get a hold of her hand and dug her fingers into her arm, hard enough to make her release her grip on her but not hard enough to make her bleed but it left a tiny bruise on her arm.

Yoo Na suddenly grabbed a handful of her hair instead and pulled on it harder than she had making Da Yeon yell hysterically in pain and Yoo Na let go of her hair as she shoved her hard on the floor, with a few strands of Da Yeon's hair in her palm and she dusted it off as Da Yeon sat on the floor crying as she held her dishevelled hair in pain.

"Aisshh, stop trying to bully me when you know you can't or else you'll lose more of your hair." Yoo Na warned as she rearranged her dishevelled hair and Da Yeon kicked her feet's in the floor angrily like an angry kid that didn't get it's way.

"You bitch!! I'll kill you with my own hands!!" Da Yeon cussed at her as she stood up from the ground but she made sure not to go close to her to avoid more of her hair being pulled out.

The students had started to gather in the hall from the ruckus they heard and were surprised to see Da Yeon's hair dishevelled with tears falling from her eyes.

Cha Eun walked up to Yoo Na after coming out to hear the screams echoing through the hall.

"What happened?" Cha Eun asked as he stared at Da Yeon and Nam Joo who had messy appearances before averting his gaze to Yoo Na questioningly with brows creased.

"I haven't even touched them yet." Yoo Na said with a flat bored tone as she tied her hair in a ponytail.

"You didn't have to fight with anyone, it won't do anyone any good if you have a bad highschool record especially if you want to go to college." Cha Eun said with a low voice as he spoke to Yoo Na. She knew he was right but it wasn't her fault as she had tried avoiding beating them to a pulp.

"I really didn't do anything, I was just avoiding them that's all but you know how lazy rich kids are...." She trailed off, he was a rich kid too. "I mean..."

"I know what you mean but why don't you stay beside me for a while, at least it'll help you avoid them." Cha Eun said and it felt like a good idea to her but she was capable of handling herself but to avoid troubles, she'd stick by his side to avoid any bad highschool records.

"Yes, I will." She said with a low voice.

It was a Saturday and as planned, the trio met at a cafe that was not so popular, to avoid the prying eyes of the public.

Cha Eun had taken a cab instead of the normal chauffeur he took whenever he went out to avoid his movement being kept tabs on by his father.

"Hello Cha Eun." Jisoo greeted politely as she and Yoo Na had come together. He returned the greeting as they took their seats around the small table. They ordered smoothies as they prepared to go through the footages.

"Let's not waste any time and go through them quickly." Yoo Na said immediately with a stoic expression.

"Chill for a bit..." Jisoo trailed off when Yoo Na shot her a glare.

Cha Eun brought out his Samsung tablet and played the footage he had saved in his gallery and sat in between the both of them for better view. They all watched intently with so much focus, with eyes peering into the screen. The footage was blocks away from her friend's place so they couldn't suspect the few cars that drove through but their plates numbers weren't clearly visible so Yoo Na had to strain her eyes and zoom into the numbers to figure out the plate numbers of every car that passed the area until she got it correctly and she took out a pen and paper writing it down with so much attention, fully engrossed in what she was doing.

Cha Eun and Jisoo watched her scribble the numbers on the note that took forever because of the unclear figures and they helped out in figuring the unclear numbers with her. After a few hours, they managed to write down the plate numbers of every car that passed the area and they all sighed in exasperation.

"So what are we going to do with the plate numbers?" Cha Eun asked thoughtfully.

"I don't know yet but I'm trying to get leads on whatever I get my hands on, hopefully it'll result to something useful." Yoo Na said hopefully as she sighed and he nodded in silence as he admired her dedication and determination to catch the killer.

"Anybody hungry?" Jisoo asked breaking the silence and they all ordered food to suppress their hunger.

They all set to leave to their various homes as nighttime neared and the skies slowly got darker with every passing second.

"Cha Eun!" Yoo Na called as they all got up to leave as an idea popped into her head.

"What?"

"Can you collect more footages?" Yoo Na asked and Cha Eun squinted his eyes at her as he was thinking exactly what was going through her head.

"Sure, if we collect footages from the various areas where the victims were seen last and write down the plate numbers of every car in the area, we might get a lead." Cha Eun stated and Yoo Na was impressed by his fast thinking but she wasn't surprised at Jisoo's dumbness.

"Right, he definitely uses a car since they'd be no other way he was able to abduct his victims without anyone's knowledge." Yoo Na said and she could feel her hope growing in size.

"That means we'll have to take down more plate numbers and they aren't even clear, it'll be super stressful." Jisoo complained but there was no sign of her wanting to back out, instead she was more determined.

"You're right it'll be stressful but we're not only going to take down plate numbers, we might have to stalk our suspects too and more, we'll figure it out." Yoo Na said with a serious expression and Jisoo's eyes widened a bit.

"We'll have to stalk too?" Jisoo asked.

"Yes, if you aren't up for that, how do you expect to help us kill someone?" Cha Eun asked with a serious expression.

"I can do it, I'll do anything you want me to do." Jisoo stated confidently and Cha Eun smiled at her.

.......

Dae Hyun laughed hysterically as he heard the students talk through the help of the bug he planted in Cha Eun's watch he had bought for him a week earlier but he didn't know their discussions would interest him this much as their voices echoed from his laptop that he had connected to the bug.

He thought their plan was impressive, bringing out a suspect from the footages if they saw a recurring plate number on all the footages, but he didn't bother about their plans because even if they showed the evidence to the police they couldn't arrest someone based on it, since it wasn't a strong enough evidence to incriminate someone but they weren't going to give their evidence to the police because they wanted to kill the killer themselves which he found funny.

"Welcome to my game." Dae Hyun said with a dark voice.
