Felicity waited on the edge of the old seat waiting for Perry's words to fall out of his mouth. She braced herself for whatever she was about to hear. She was nervous. Did she really want to know the truth at this point?

More than anything.

"Is it okay if I start at the very beginning?"

"Please."

Perry cleared his throat and avoided eye contact with Felicity.

"Jackson came back into my life."

That one sentence opened an entire world for this conversation.

"Okay..."

"After all these years, he finally got his revenge on our middle school fight. Who knew he'd come back, still ticked and extort me? Something had changed in him. He is just pure evil now."

"Extort you? How do you mean?"

"I know what I am about to tell you is going to upset you beyond belief, but I need you to listen, until the end, please?"

She nodded.

"He's the one who owns the building that had the fire, the big fire."
