Chapter 40: Sounds in the Dark

Weston

Weston had no clue where this house was. He only knew it was north. But he felt his instincts would guide him. After all, chances are, the love of his life was being held captive there.

He knew he should have brought help, but he decided this was something he would need to do on his own. Once he found Perry, there needn't be a witness to the things he had planned to do to him.

Weston drove for hours, up one road and down the next. He had almost given up. Then, his ears perked, and his heart skipped. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a house down a long, gravel lane. It was almost completely hidden by trees but with his sharp eyesight, he was able to see it beyond the limbs and leaves.

He cut out his lights and drove as slowly as possible. Knowing the was dealing with a shifter, he had to try to be as quiet as possible. He just hoped Perry didn't have some sort of alarm that would give away his entrance.
