Chapter 12: The Walls are Up

Felicity

Felicity walked out of that fire without so much as a scratch. Other firefighters were still getting it under control. Weston and the girl were both at ambulances getting checked out for injuries and smoke inhalation. Felicity walked over, slowly. She wasn't sure how to approach Weston now.

Her first thought was that now he wouldn't have feelings for her but isn't that what she wanted anyhow?

The thought of that actually turned her stomach because it wasn't what she wanted at all. And even if she truly did, this wasn't the way to go about making him lose feelings.

The tech finished checking over the little girl who was promptly released to her parents. They both wrapped her up in a huge family hug, crying and smothering her with kisses.

The mother walked over to Felicity and thanked her profusely before they got in their vehicle and left.
