Chapter 5

"About what?" Tanjiro quickly replied.

"I made you worry about me, that was very selfish of me to run off and fight that demon on my own, I should've known better," Isa sighed.

"Hey, it's no problem, don't worry about it," Tanjiro reassured. "It's our job to slay demons and protect people, why not protect other demon slayers, their human just as much as they are."

"You're right, thanks," Isa sighed.

"So what happens if I'm half demon, does that mean I can't die, or that if I touch a stronger demon's blood then I'll just heal faster?" Isa questioned out loud.

"Not sure, but it seems like the second one," Tanjiro replied. "Where'd you get the first one?"

"As soon as I get hurt I start to heal immediately, but it's slow, not as fast as when I use the power or when I touched the demon's blood," Isa explained. "Does that mean even if I die I'll still survive and heal all the way."

"That's interesting, but it's not really worth it to test that out," Tanjiro replied. "Plus the only way to kill a demon is to chop off their head, expose them to sunlight or be killed by an upper ranked demon, but you're standing in sunlight right now."

"Now that you said that, if she's half demon and can't die, wouldn't she be a daughter of a higher rank of demon?" Inosuke questioned. "And wouldn't she be a high ranked demon herself."

"Maybe," Isa sighed. "But I'm not sure."

"How'd it take this long…?" Zenitsu tried to ask.

"I thought it was just me, but when I saw the look on Tanjiro's face when I said hi, it made me realize it wasn't just me," Isa sighed. "I didn't want to say anything because I thought people would think I was crazy, try to kill me, or both."

"Makes sense," Zenitsu replied.

"You're being pretty quiet there, Inosuke," Tanjiro pointed out. "Do you really not want her here?"

"It doesn't matter, she'll probably leave after we get the results back," Inosuke replied quickly.

"Oh come on let her stay," Zenitsu pleaded.

"I'll only stay if he's my brother," Isa chuckled very sarcastically. "Just to tease him."

"Oh come on," Zenitsu sighed.
