Boss Fight

The wide, bloody grin was like a slit on the little girl's face, ruining any semblance of cuteness she had. The grin seemed to still continue to grow wider as the little girl rose higher and higher-

Bump. A little girl's head came into contact with the top of the tunnel. A dazed expression appeared on her horrifying face.

Pro was also a bit dazed. What happened to the epic boss entrance? Pro stared at the little girl who was barely floating inches above his belly with strange eyes. Can't pretend to be badass anymore?

However, Pro wasn't going to let this chance slide. A little girl? Pro still won't show mercy.

"Taste my fist! One pun-"

Thud! Pro's quick punch connected with the floating girl, sending her launching back up the tunnel a short distance. Unfortunately, this attack seemed to have done zero damage and only served to knock back the enemy.

In fact, it was Pro who felt that his fist was hurting. It felt like he bunched a metal wall, but clearly, the little girl had soft skin.

Never mind that, Pro was still in the midst of battle and couldn't be distracted further! Although he knocked back the evil little girl, she clearly didn't intend to let him go!

Red mist gathered around the little girl's foot, signifying where the next attack would come from. Then, the little girl tilted sideways as her body launched through the air and towards Pro like a rocket! Her tiny feet was like a spear ready to pierce through its target!

The tunnel was narrow, and there wasn't much space to dodge! Pro's danger perception tingled crazily as he swiftly activated his backhand!

BOOM! The little girl's foot drilled through the walls of the tunnel, causing a wave of dirt to splatter. Surprisingly, she didn't hit her target!

Looking back, she saw that the target was quickly clambering out of a rectangular shaped hole in the ground. It was unknown when he dug it!

Pro's eyes fiercely locked onto the back of the little girl. He knew he couldn't outrun the little girl's flying speed and he didn't have enough time to dig out another hole to hide in. So, a knife appeared in his hand as a sly grin appeared on his face.

Pouncing forward, Pro aimed his knife upwards. His target: a certain location on the back and below the waist of the little girl. It was perhaps the only weakness he could define on her inhuman body!

"Taste my ultimate move, One Thousand Years of Death!"

Not giving the target a chance to react, his knife swiftly pierced upwards, bypassing the flapping cloak and stabbing right in between the booty ...

The battlefield fell into a moment of deathly stillness. Sweat oozed from Pro's forehead as he could see the little girl's red eyes slowly widening in shock.

Pro didn't think any further. He knew he stabbed the hornet's nest! However, this short time where the little girl was still daze was enough for him to react!

Pro swiftly retreated backwards as he bolted towards the exit of the tunnel where a wolf was staring at him with eyes filled with ... contempt? Even a dog won't lower itself to do such a shameful act to a lady!

Pro didn't care! It was better than being kicked to death without any chance of fighting back!

"AHHHHH! IMBECILE! I WILL KILL YOU!"

The horrid shriek of anger filled with agony boomed in the tunnel. Pro's danger perception exploded. With a peek back, he caught a glimpse of the little girl shooting towards him.

Pro's face was solemn as he raised his focus. His eyes gleamed with intellect as he calculated the right timing. With a wave of his hand, he sent a bolt of red mist at the ceiling of the tunnel!

"Collapse!"

BOOM! A roughly cut block of dirt came crashing down in between the two! It was unknown when Pro had dug this trap, but it was put to use at this moment!

A cloud of dust rose into the air and obscured a part of the tunnel. Pro didn't bother to look back any further to see if his tactic was useful. It was only meant to delay the girl for a moment!

Reaching the end of the tunnel, Pro saw the wolf head still staring in a daze. Without any politeness, Pro used his momentum and gave the stupid dog a strong kick!

"Quit staring! Get out of the way!"

Pop! The wolf head was knocked out of the hole, and left a gap, enough for Pro to rush through!

Swoosh! The sound of a quickly incoming object sounded from behind as Pro dived through the gap and back into the forest.

THUD! The whimper of a wolf was heard as the giant wolf was sent flying away from the hole in the ground.

Bam! The poor bloke crashed into a tree and slid to the ground, life and death unknown. Its face was now deformed, with one side having a dirty footprint while the other dented in and leaking blood.

However, the angry little girl with the red cloak didn't care about the wolf's plight. With fists clenched, her red eyes swept the surroundings for her real target ... but huh? Where did he go?

In the dark forest, there was only a knocked out wolf and the little girl floating in the air while wrapped with red mist.

With another sweep, the girl then noticed the holes in the ground. One was the hole she just came out of, and the other was a hole that the man disappeared into at the start of the battle!

An evil grin appeared on the little girl's face as if she had locked on her prey. The little girl's body then zipped towards the other hole and dived into the tunnel!

Swoosh! A trail of red mist was left in her tracks as she gathered more power to enhance her speed further. She doesn't believe that man can escape through the tunnel faster than she can find him!

Minutes later, the little girl flew out of the exit of the tunnel empty-handed. Her brows were furrowed as her face scrunched up angrily.

"Impossible! I've swept the entire tunnel and can't find him! That man is clearly weak and useless! He didn't even have the basic abilities for survival! There is no way he can outrun me! No- was that all an act? Is his mastery in speed?"

Not being able to locate her target, the anger of the little girl seemed to be brewing. The realm began to tremble as trees began to topple over. It was as if the realm was about to collapse!

Suddenly, an intangible force struck the little girl. She stiffened in place. In the end, the red mist that was converging towards her dissipated. Her face gradually returned to normal.

Although her face was that of an innocent girl's, there was a sly, mischievous smirk on her face, "If it wasn't for the rules ... heh, it matters not. All roads lead to Rome, that rat will eventually end up at his final destination. I just have to go and wait. Hehehe."

After giggling a couple of times, the little girl waved her hand to summon her wooden basket. She then swept her eyes over the unconscious wolf before she flew off into the dark forest.

The forest was returned to tranquility. There was no movements on the battlefield nor the tunnel.

It wasn't until hours later that one would notice a small part of the tunnel wall collapsing. After the dirt layer was taken down, an average-looking young man covered in dirt slowly clambered out of the small, compact hole.

"Phew. Survived. Fortunately, the fake dirt wall I quickly built managed to fool the little girl."

Yes. This was Pro.

As soon as he escaped from the tunnel, he immediately dived into the nearby hole that he made earlier in the ground.

Although logically, that hole shouldn't be there, but there was something wrong in this dungeon. He dug for so long just to return to the battlefield, and Pro logically concluded that he hadn't left the area.

It seemed that dungeon invader can't change areas unless the plot is ready to move forward. A similar thing happened when he tried to escape from the little girl at the start.

So, Pro made a plan and gambled on the fact that his tunnel entrance was nearby. To his surprise and joy, it was.

Still, Pro knew he couldn't outrun the little girl even if he had a head start.

Therefore, he the midst of his drop in the tunnel, he grasped on the side of the tunnel wall and dug himself a hiding spot! He then manually gathered and built a dirt wall behind him, filling in the hole in order to hide his whereabouts.

Afterwards, he could only cross his fingers and hope the little girl had no detection spells and that she wouldn't check the tunnel walls while rushing down.

Maybe it was luck or maybe it was for the plot, everything worked like a charm.

"Now that I got rid of the dangerous little girl, I can finally start planning how to beat this dungeon ..."

With a body and face full of dirt, he looked like a beggar down in the dumps, but the determination shining in his eyes foretold the fact that this man wasn't one that would easily give up.

Staring at the small tunnel network he had dug, Pro had a big grin on his face. His eyes slyly rolled around as thoughts raced through Pro's mind.

"Dungeon boss? Oh, you'll be shocked with what I'm going to do next!"
