“Deep Under the Sea,” Calian answered.

“Fancy,” Gage said.

He was sitting in the middle of the backseat of Flynn’s expensive car so he could look at the side profiles of both of his boyfriends’ faces. Calian swiveled around to face him.

“It is. The owner’s name is Caspian. We’ve been friends for years.”

“Let me guess,” Flynn interjected. “Caspian is a merman.”

“Nope, but close enough. Caspian is a siren. He used to be a merman, but he was rejected by the man he was in love with. The only way he can transform back into a merman is to find true love.”

“Why doesn’t he do that?”

“It may be a bit too late for him,” Calian answered Gage’s question. “The longer he remains a siren, the colder his temperament will be.”

“How many years since he—”

“Six hundred and seventy-two years,” Calian interrupted Flynn. “By the way, there’s something I need to tell you both.”

“What’s that?” Gage inquired.
