"Mysterious Woman Kelly Foster and the Disheartened Thief"

Alex was disheartened after choosing only thirteen items that could detect out spiritual power from the cemetery. Calculating roughly, Alex figured he had absorbed around fifty to sixty spiritual energies, thereby enabling him to summon over ten skeleton soldiers. Although this is impressive, it still was not enough to open a magic guild or create more crypts for zombies.

One-eyed Andros was similarly dejected as he had thought he would be able to reap a huge harvest from the cellar but found disappointing results instead. All that remained were broken ancient swords, bronze mirrors with chips in them, alien stone carvings and low-quality stone pendants.

The old one-eyed man, a true merchant still had a smile on his face despite being somewhat dejected as he had earned thirty-nine gold pounds. As the three were exiting the basement, Meg was seen receiving an unexpected guest.

He was an unkempt middle-aged man wearing tanned leather Armor with a sash of daggers and flying claws wrapped around it. The stranger also carried a cloth bag, but its contents were unknown. From Meg's welcoming gesture, it seemed to indicate that this person was not here to acquire anything but rather to sell something instead.

Alex noticed that in the other side of the reception room, there was a woman around twenty years old, with a noble dress and normal-looking facial features. Although her appearance seemed quite ordinary, she exuded a coquettish feel that could still be eye-catching.

Furthermore, Alex noticed that the whites of her eyes were slightly blue - an indication of high cultivation in vindictiveness. When their gazes met, Alex's heart palpitated; he felt as though he was being stared at by an immensely dangerous ancient beast. His intuition quickly told him to stay away from this person and he marked her as extremely dangerous in his heart, stronger than even senior magic apprentice Dr. Wilkins.

Alex was beginning to feel an increasing amount of pressure as he thought to himself, "Could this woman really be at the official level!?" Countless powerful uncertainties had been showing up in PARSLOV City and now, it seemed there was another mysterious female who could be indexed as a high-ranking individual. The atmosphere that engulfed the metropolis resembled a thunderstorm - denser than usual and full of intimidation.

Andros, whose one eye monitored Alex's uneasiness, quietly intimated in hushed tone, "Her name is Kelly Foster from Pethon- it is said she is an esteemed lady." His words gave away his fondness for the woman known as Elizabeth.

ELLA snickered and murmured, "Kelly is quite a powerful woman. She appears distant and cold-hearted, yet she craves the attention of prominent young masters in the area. What went on with you just now? Your gaze was glued to her, right? It is weird though, whenever I see her, she always has someone bringing her flowers so why did she come to have coffee alone today?"

Alex rolled his eyes - he had already made up his mind that he would avoid Kelly if at all possible.

Just then, communication between Meg and the thief became awkward; it seemed like the thief wanted to peddle something while Meg's offer was not satisfactory for him. Additionally, Alex noticed how strange old one-eyed appeared when he saw the thief; giving Meg a furtive signal before lowering their bid even further and making their attitude more hostile seemed as if they were coercing customers into buying from them which [appeared] to be something they would enjoy doing.

Alex inadvertently crossed paths with the thief who had a nasty stare and was gritting his teeth as he snarled at Meg about not being up front. He was ready to pack up his items and leave when he stumbled upon Alex, almost falling over. The thief had some obscenities in mind to shout out, yet one look at Alex's regal attire and magic wand caused him to swallow them down.

Alex had an odd expression on his face, and he was intently gazing at the man who was dressed as a robber. He had run into him earlier, and then a warning from the graveyard came to his mind: discovered wild undead creatures! Below were two options: fight or recruit, but the psionic power required for recruitment was unknown.

"Hm?" Alex said in confusion; he had never encountered this before, yet this individual did not look like one of the undead! After managing to stand again, it soon dawned upon him that they were actually a nobleman.

Not wanting to let them go, Alex tried to recruit them right away, but nothing happened. His brows furrowed together as he decided against fighting them too. Instead, he called out "Hey! This Sir should stay."

Stunned by being called "Sir" instead of "Mr.", the thief looked back sceptically at Alex with disbelief in their eyes.

Alex halted the thief and chose not to pay any mind to him. Instead, he went up to the elderly one-eyed man and quietly asked, "Is there a lot of trouble if you don't accept his items?"

The old one-eyed looked at Alex with astonishment, wondering why he was getting involved in this situation. Nonetheless, since Alex was an apprentice mage from the GOLDERT family—and a highly valued customer—it would be wise of the old man to remain on good terms with him.

After some contemplation, he replied vaguely: "It's not so much trouble with his items but rather people that are causing an issue...and they aren't well liked." He then tapped his nose as a gesture implying that even though he had lost sight in one eye, his sense of smell was still better than any dog's.

Alex questioned to himself in wonderment, "Are these undead creatures mimicking as living beings?" His admiration for the old one-eyed grew even further as they did not expect him to possess such a power. Nevertheless, the old one-eyed was unafraid that Alex might not be human, and the cemetery was watching closely. He grinned and said, "Since it's like this I'd love to take a look at their stuff, you don't mind, do you? Old one-eyed."

His words startled the elder slightly. It had just been mentioned that Alex was not alive but then he understood that he must be a necromancer who performs dealings with spirits, which is strictly prohibited from acting aggressively against anyone in public. With gratefulness in his eyes, Alex gave a slight nod of his head before turning towards what appeared to be an escaping thief heading out of the store.

Alex and the old one-eyed had a hushed discussion which only they could hear, and the thief did not realise his identity was now exposed. Moving closer to him, Alex pointed at his pocket and said "I'll take anything you have but I am out of cash. So why don't you come back home with me?". The man's eyes brightened with an expression of desire mixed in with malice before he lowered his head in feigned humility, nodding rapidly in agreement, following Alex out of the door towards the carriage waiting outside.
