Shadow Guards

Due to the fact that Freya wasn't able to control her abilities, her father didn't want his enemies to take advantage of that. That was why the shadow guards were ordered to be around her at all times.

"How many times have I told you guys to never follow me?" Freya shouted at the shadow guards angrily and immediately pushed them backward. And quickly ran to the exit door of the reception hall. Noticing that it was Freya coming, the dense crowd made way. The shadow guards didn't bother to make a run for her. Of course, the shadow guards that were afflicted with Freya numbered in the thousands.

One could imagine that many people protecting one person.

Freya was finally out of the building.

"Freaking hell! "Can't this guys leave me alone?", Freya spoke angrily. She immediately put on her face cap to keep the pedestrians at bay.

She started jogging along the pavements. She looked left and saw a guy with a cap at the sidewalk of the road who just faced the other direction as she stared at him.

Looking right, she saw another; looking backward, it was the same. Everybody around her were shadow guards.

"Hussh! Dad would never let me have my privacy. Since I can't get rid of them, it's better for them to stay in the shadows than follow me directly".

She continued her jogging, heading straight to a public gym. Now she was way past the Blaze Tower. Turning backwards to check if there were guards around, she suddenly collided with someone

Present.....

Egon shouted, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". Egon was holding her hands, and she was sitting on top of him. He was dumbfounded. Then he remembered how she fell on him. He caught her on-top of himself, and he couldn't resist the temptation of looking at her.

She had a well-defined figure. And from a glance, it turned into a stare. He was unable to control the enticement to take a look.

The worst of it all was that he tried gazing away, but his eyes suddenly moved towards her chest region. It was an overwhelming sight. On the spur of the moment, he received a deadly slap on the cheek.

"What are you looking at? You dirty pervert!" she shouted annoyingly.

"Hooooo…. What a slap. Unknown to her, she was still on his body. Egon was filled with rage, which made him throw her out of his lap immediately. That was when it dawned on her that she was still on his body when she slapped him.

Without hesitation, she stood up from between his legs. She turned her back on him right away while she was blushing.

On the dot, Egon came back to his senses. He got up from the ground too, and then he began cleaning his clothes.

"What was I thinking?", he uttered in his mind. He remembered the slap she gave him and replied to her statement,

"Hey! I wasn't the one who made you sit on my body; I wasn't also the one... caressing... Someone's…. CHEST. What do you call that? That's what I'd call SEXUAL HARASSMENT."

Freya turned back promptly, facing his direction. She was startled that for every word she uttered, the young man always had a reply for it. She had never been confronted to such an extent.

"Hmmmmm… "I hate you," she shouted.

Egon laughed and responded,

"After all, we weren't meant to like each other, so I don't see anything wrong with you hating me. So if that was a compliment, I will gladly respond to your compliment, I hate you too."

"Wow! This man is good, I've never seen someone insult Freya Blaze before." A girl in her late teens whispered. The crowd was all murmuring about what they just saw.

Up above, high in the towers.

"Amuser plaisir", X8 said in French, Wow!

"Never have I thought that our mistress could be perplexed to this extent. X11! don't you think this guy has a shot at our mistress?"

"I have warned you many times never to concern yourselves with the mistress internal affairs; I don't want to hear this again. Have I made myself clear?" X6 ordered.

"Yes, sir!", they all answered.

When Freya and Egon were both arguing, their quantum watches all of a sudden materialized their robot assistants, also called AI, they came out to help them.

Egon's robot had male features, while Freya's robot had female features. Both the robots had only their heads as their body parts.

In the Infinite era, only those from prestigious families had AIs, or robot assistants, due to the system ruined by the hierarchy system.

Egon having an AI was still a mystery to people around him. His first encounter with his AI was five years ago. After the incident, his AI was like his companion.

Egon's robot said, "Hey! Your master looks like a piece of trash. Why is Freya degrading my master? He is more handsome than she can ever dream of. Has Freya ever had a boyfriend as cute as Egon, my master? They are one in a hundred million who could boast of my master's handsome features; you're an AI like me; you could do your research to".

Egon was astonished at how Mega could badmouth a person like this.

Freya was also thunderstruck at the fact that an AI could belittle her personality to the extent of saying she could never get a man as handsome as him.

Freya's robot assists Petal responded,

"Okay! I admire your master for being so handsome U guess you are right," she said with a heart emoji on her LED matrix. She added, "But, has your so-called -handsome master been four inches close to someone as beautiful as my mistress, Freya? Has he ever had the privilege to talk to someone as cute as she is?

"I don't think so."

Everyone in the crowd was perplexed about how the robot could take over the argument.

Freya was dumbfounded and couldn't utter a word. When she saw that her robot assistant was about to rain another set of insults on them, she quickly ran towards her and immediately dragged her for fear of the unknown. Petal wanted to say more "Hey, what's that for?", but was suppressed by Freya.

Freya yelled, "Okay, I think that will be all. And I don't apologize for every word she said, you deserved it 100%."

Egon saw that Mega was getting ready for another round too. He, too, wasn't fond of their insults anymore. He knew that if they were to continue, the outcome would be devastating.

Likewise, he quickly got Mega too. Mega was trying to talk too, but Egon silenced him.

"And I also don't apologize for anything he said." Egon replied.

They both wanted to redraw the epic clash between two AIs. They knew that database records were at their beck and call.

So, it wouldn't go out well for them; rather, their secrets would end up being expressed by these badmouthed robots.

Freya quickly told her AI,

"Petal, call the chauffeur? "Let's get out of this unpleasant, annoying environment. I can't even take in the air here, it's appalling". Freya voiced out, squeezing her face in a manner that could tell that something disgusted her. Egon noticed it and said, too,

"Mega, let's get going too, but we've got to finish what brought us here before the fly burgled in".

At the last minute, they still ridiculed themselves; they were two opposite charges.

Freya's chauffeur arrived immediately; she got into her luxurious sport car and zoomed off.

Egon went in the opposite direction.

What do they say about two opposite charges? They attract each other.

Will that ever be possible for Egon and Freya? ...…..
