Chapter 25: Library Revelations

Sloane hit Rhea full force, knocking the air out of her and leaving them both on the ground. She tried to shout a warning to her friends but had no breath to make a sound. Twisting, Sloane reached back and grabbed Rhea with his skeletal hand, yanking her to him. With a meaningful glare at Arras, Sloane plunged his teeth into Rhea’s shoulder and ripped his head back.

Rhea didn’t even have time to scream.

Letting out a guttural roar, Arras leaped over the couch and tore Sloane off the struggling woman. Donal and Aedan collided in midair over the terrified archeology crew, slamming into the table and into the shelves.

Elisa reached up and started grabbing artifacts from the table, placing them under the nearby couch. As she grabbed the last one off the table in the middle of the room, Brennus turned it over and heaved it across the room to knock over Benen. The vampires fought on the floor, walls, and ceiling, giving the mortal crew nowhere to truly hide.
