Edwin said he would swing by to pick Rhea up in a few minutes; he had something to finish first.
“Are you sure you have to go?” Andrew asked as he stood by Rhea at the front door of the Manor. Elisa and Stephen showed up with a surprised Andre Hoffman.
“This whole mess is my fault,” Rhea explained sadly. “It’s too difficult to stay. He said I should go, so I’m going to. I’m sorry, Mr. Hoffman.”
“Well, he doesn’t have the right to dismiss one of my best employees,” Hoffman said miserably. “Since you’ve been here, we have discovered so much about this family which has been a mystery. He dismissed you from his home, not this work. Let me figure something out. Go back to the hotel, I’ll call you.”
Rhea thought about the offer. She closed her eyes and felt the sun on her shoulders, listened to the birds in the trees, and sighed.
“Alright Mr. Hoffman,” she said. “I’ll wait to hear from you.”
Everyone smiled.
