The mirror of the dressing room glowed as it portrayed the reflect of the person standing in front of it. The gorgeous woman was wearing a long light burgundy sleeveless dress accentuating her perfect shoulder bones. The upper part of it was extended upto the waist which was made with gorgeous smooth chiffon cloth printed with white begonia flower print. The lower part of the dress was lined with golden laces obliquely with its tail part extending a bit long.

Most importantly, the person who was wearing it was a lady with delicate and smooth skin that it was obvious how much she takes care of it. With a pair of jade like eyes that are shining like a blaze, one gaze of them was enough to make thousands of men and women go crazy for her. In addition, she also possessed pointed slim nose with pink smooth lips ,that can probably raise the desire in someone to taste it for once. Her long black shiny hairs cascaded down her shoulder ,the ends of which were freshly trimmed. Above her forehead, laid a little shiny crown bringing out a total princess look out of her.

To put it in one word, she was just the most perfect woman that a man desires for and a woman yearns to become to.

Today, it was a special day since it's the day Yan Shu have been looking forward to in all these past eight years. She had worked hard endlessly for the last years, only to witness of this day's arrival and to finally be free from the promise she made to her mother at her deathbed, to win the best actress award of the decade. At most, she was the only one who knew how much she had sacrificed for it to achieve. Her dreams, her hobbies, her loved ones and most importantly her freedom which she thrived to have the most were all abandoned just for this.

She stared at her reflection, her dark black eyes showing a tinge of happiness and excitement accompanied by fear, the fear of losing hope.

"Xiao Shu, it's time to depart." Lin Wei, her manager interrupted her.

"Mmm. Yeah, let's go.". Yan Shu nodded and turned around leading the way as they headed to the ground floor.

"You should set up a night theater here So that I can entertain myself while waiting for you next time. Even half a day of waiting won't matter then." A man emerged from the driver's sit and pulled open the backseat door for Yan Shu and Lin Wei to enter.

"Lao Yu, find a new job. You don't have to come from tomorrow onwards." Yan Shu replied softly.

Lao Yu was like a older brother to her who was there with her from the beginning of her journey. Hence, she wanted him to get a life of himself instead of following her around.

She could not be more thankful to Lao Yu and Lin Wei who were there for her since the very first moment she started her journey, the road of which was filled with obstacles. Without them, she might not have been able to reach to the point she was now. They were basically family to her.

"Nation's goddess, I don't think I will be able to find a better employer than you. Just keep me as your designated driver. It's fine even if you pay me half of what you are paying me now. We got to share our weal & woe." Lao Yu exclaimed staring at her with his fluttering eyes.

"Enough with your jokes. Lao Yu, drive." Lin Wei did not give him a chance to talk anymore. She knew this guy was not going to stop anytime soon. After all he was widely known as the 'chatterbox' in their whole company.

Lao Yu helplessly started the car and drove off from the parking lot towards the venue.

It was more than forty minutes drive from Jingsheng to the venue. The venue was owned by CL industries where all the prominent events of the capital city took place. As to provide a peaceful surroundings for the people attending the events, the place was located in the outskirts of the city. They also provided a wide area for parking with enough space for reporters to crowd and the celebrities to have their pictures taken with a gorgeous outdoor venue.

Inside the car, Lin Wei started watching the live show of the Award show since she needed to be aware of anything as a manager. Lao Yu focused on driving while Yan Shu enjoyed the night view through the window. The street lights of the city were gleaming so brightly that it almost blinded her. In that instant, everything seemed to be glowing twicer than usual.

As they passed by the roads, her gaze focused upon a mother and child pair standing outside the ice-cream parlor, probably arguing for ice-cream. Seeing them, she couldn't help herself from getting reminded of the days, she spent with her mother.

"Ah Shu, it's late. Children should not eat ice-cream this late at night or else they will catch cold. Mom has to shoot for almost all day in the next few days so I won't be able to take care of you if something happens to you." Yan Mi explained to her daughter thinking that she would be able to prevent her from being downhearted over an ice-cream.

"Sorry, mama. Shushu won't pester you anymore." The child looked at her mother with her wide welled up eyes.

"Ah Shu, Mama will bring you lots of different flavored ice-cream tomorrow after work. Don't cry anymore, alright?" Yan Mi couldn't keep her straight face anymore after seeing her daughter being on the verge of crying. Moreover, her daughter rarely asks for something and she felt guilty for not being able to buy the thing she asked for after a long time.

"Ah Shu, when mama wins the best actress award, we will have plenty of money to buy anything you want and mama won't also have to work much unlike now. Just wait for a few more months."

"Don't worry, mama. Shushu will make money when she will grow bigger and will take care of mama so that she doesn't have to work anymore." Yan Shu caressed her mother's cheeks with a pair of eyes filled with hopes and determination.

Yan Shu's eyes swelled up as she reminisced her past beautiful days spent with her mother. She started to wonder what would have happened if her mother was still alive. She had pondered on this thing numerous times over the past years but she was still uncertain about the outcome. She dwelled on the last moments of her mother as she felt a sense of achievement after considering the winning of tonight.

Suddenly, she was interrupted by a loud bang pulling her back to reality. As she looked at the front, she saw a car crashing in front of their car. Moreover, the car itself was getting pushed by a huge truck along with few other cars which crashed into each other until one of the cars among the center exploded. 

Before Yan Shu could process what happened, it became the last thing she saw. It was already too late. Blood gushed from her head and the window glasses shattered into pieces piercing into her skin. 

Inside the car, she looked at the unconscious Lin Wei and Lao Yu with her heavy eyes who were also covered in blood. She felt a sharp pain in her head and all the screaming, shouting of her surroundings sunk into her ears before gradually fading away making her feel lifeless. She had no more strength to keep her eyes open.

'Mom, I am sorry I failed. I couldn't keep your promise. Forgive me. But I am rather happy that I will finally be able to meet you.' Her heart was thumping loudly as her breathing got heavier. But all she could do is to recite the apology again and again in her mind.

At that moment, the only thing she regretted was wasting all her fine years to become a perfect piece only to let them drain in vain like this.

In the Su Mansion

A young lady was lying in the princess bed. Beside it was a stand, on which an IV Drip was hanging. The room also had all the necessary tools used in an emergency theater.

It's no wonder that the Su Mansion had it prepared. Being the owner of the Su Corporation that excelled in importing and transporting materials accompanied with Shengting Entertainment which was also a production house and a home to many A-list artists. All these are the reasons that made the Su family one of the richest and the powerful families of the Imperial Capital as well as in the Country. With so many riches under its nose, it's a usual thing to have lots of enemies. So, to prevent anything unusual, the Su Mansion had all the things prepared beforehand with doctors 24/7 on call. 

The Mansion also consists of a theater, a gym, a whole floor for dining, music room, dance studio, gaming room etc. within the Mansion. The Mansion only equipped the center plot of the actual land. The land was surrounded by a forest from behind with a river flowing by its side while the front of it was facing the city side. It was a secluded place with not many neighbors around them.

In fact, it was a well-known fact within the circle that the Su's were obsessed with peace and nature making it understandable why they lived there. Also being aristocratic in nature, they were born with nobility.

Yan Shu opened her eyes and glanced at the white ceiling above her which had a gigantic chandelier light hanging from it. She stared at the golden lights of the chandelier that were shining all over the room causing a shiver down her spine.

'Woah!! The heaven is so beautiful. I wonder where mom is. Does she know I am here!'

Yan Shu mumbled inwardly thinking that she might have come to heaven looking at the bright room.

Her happiness did not last long as the smell of disinfectants wafted through her nose that disrupted her wild imagination.

'Wait, am I not in heaven? It smells like hospital but how can a hospital be so beautiful. Why is my head hurting so much?? Am I still alive?? How come??'

She panicked. Just as she was wondering and trying to recount the events that took place last night, she heard the sound of a door opening. She glanced sideways to find the source of the sound and tried to get up but to no avail.

'Geez, my body is so weak. It hurts all over.'

As she stared at the door, two long legs appeared in her sight. A man wearing a black suit with gray satin shirt underneath walked towards the bed she was lying with his two slender legs. His overcoat hung above from his shoulder and his vest contained a golden chain that connected the vest pocket with the tie. His face was as shiny as a glasshouse paired with a sharp jawline. His azure eyes were calm yet beautiful. He furrowed his eyebrows and glared at her.

Finally, the man arrived by her side. He bent down bit by bit until his face was close enough with her face and with slyness in his voice he said, " You are quite bold aren't you? "

His straight face full of coldness sent another shiver down her spine. Yan Shu lifted her eyes to look at him with astonishment. 'Who is this gorgeous man. Did he save me? Not bad.' She was quite taken aback seeing such a handsome hunk just after waking up from almost going to hell.

Seeing her pale weak face covered in astonishment, he cleared his throat and emphasized, "Are you having amnesia? Don't you recognize me anymore?"

Seeing her in a daze, he paused to observe her then continued, "I am your fiancée."
