Chapter-15

"Did you do something to him?" my voice sounded accusing but I had my reasons for it. Jin was selfish but not selfish enough to hurt somebody to this extent. There was something fishy about the whole situation.

Jin had the gall to look offended and his easy demeanor snapped to reveal his true self. I still had the power to strip him of his charms like he had the power to rile me up.

"Alayna, I never wanted to hurt Adrien. He got things mixed up" he sounded sad.

During the time I had gotten to know him, I have never seen him look guilty and regretful of something. Whatever went down between them had definitely affected Jin too. But what went down between them? Jin was hiding something.

If only I knew what it was. Jin recovered fast. He masked his emotions underneath the mask of nonchalance. We became silent again.

I wondered if I could coax him information about his organization- anything that would at least partially explain the situation.
