Chapter 18: The Meeting

The man can be seen through the tunnels of the 24th Ward, flanked by Exret and his other two Judges. It has been almost a month since he had taken over Tokyo.

The man had wanted to come down earlier, but some complications have arisen. After the CCG had been escorted out of Tokyo they have launched multiple attacks on Chaos in the vain of a crusade.

They claim that the ghouls have conquered the home of the CCG and that they would take it back.

These attacks are often, but are almost always too week for him to even get involved. This was until the fifth attack, the man was forced to step in when attacks from many Special Class Investigators attacks the different wards of Tokyo in quick succession.

They have been using their mobility as their attackers and have done some damage to Chaos as a whole. The man however has dealt with this minor problem, he killed them all.

The man had made a statement, 'Come to Tokyo and You will Die.' And Kaneki is also ready to take up his new mantra, already being powerful enough to fight Touka in a one on one.

Now the man can finally end his time in this world, not that he hasn't enjoyed it. Seeing his subordinates again, his stints with Itori and Kaya, mocking Enji and Nishiki, debating with Yoshimura, his teenage make out sessions with Touka and finally his family time.

He had truly begun to see Juuzou and Karao as his own and even though they may be close in age to the man new body, he still loves the adorable naivety about them. Then there's Ryouku and Hinami, Hinami becoming more and more like his sister or what he would treat as a childhood friend. Ryouku on the other hand is hard for him.

The man feels clear attraction for the woman but refuses to act on the matter, not wanting to betray the memories of his friend. He treats her as his own older sister as much as he can, annoying her with stunts, playing pranks and getting shouted at.

He has been truly happy with what he has done with his life here and feels great sorrow to leave, but he doesn't belong here. His Judges prove this more than anything else, they are the manifestation of his divine power and show that although he may play mortal from time to time, he is still a god.

The man and his Judges slowly move towards their destination, the city in the 24th Ward. This is the last bastion for the now failing Aogiri Tree, who are currently losing more members to Chaos.

The ex-members of Aogiri Tree had no reason to stay on the losing team. Especially when the one recruiting them is the person who took control of Tokyo.

However this increase in numbers has made his organisation become somewhat unstable, as the new members often forget to follow the rules.

The are punished harshly for this however, crimes such as murder and rape are strongly frowned upon by Chaos and will only end in the death and consumption of whoever had committed said crime.

The rule state that the only humans that are able to be eaten by their ghoul neighbours are either criminals or suicide victim while they live in Tokyo.

The man has been slowly teaching his subordinates to preserve their food to avoid waste and to keep their new safe haven peaceful.

As the man walks through the tunnel he begins to bring back memories of the young Eto from his universe. She was a sweet girl who had been corrupted by the face of war to become more sadistic.

She seemed to be similar here and the man knows what she wants to join. He's already given it to her, the head of Tsuneyoshi Washuu.

Eto has come to hate this man as he was the cause of the majority of hatred towards the ghouls by the human populus. The theres also the fact that the man had been successful in achieving what she hadn't been able to, a society where ghouls won't be prosecuted for just existing.

The man smiles thinking back to the young Eto he had known growing up before her change, as he finally enters the city.

He looks around to see the poverty and famine that he had caused to the people remaining down here, due to him not allowing them up to the surface to hunt.

Ghouls all around him begin looking at the man with curiosity. The man walks slowly through the city, seeing these horrific conditions, towards the centre of the city.

He however is stopped suddenly by a force he knows well, Noro. Noro is the fourth most powerful of his division commanders and he hasn't change between either iteration.

Noro just stand straight across from the man, seemingly blocking his entrance to the headquarters of Aogiri Tree. This stare down between the two men continues for a few minutes before Noro turns to his side and gestures for the man to enter with a bow.

He walks straight in, not bothering with Noro walking along side of him. Looking around the man notices a large room, with many ghouls inside and one human.

Of these ghouls he also notices those with the same scent as Kaneki, them most likely being one-eyed ghouls.

The man recognises six figures in the crowd surrounding him, who are Eto Yoshimura, Tatara, Akihiro Kanou, Kishou Arima and both Kurona and Nashiro Yasuhisa.

Eto and Tatara, being the leaders of Aogiri tree and Kishou Arima being its figurehead were expected by the man. But the other three were a surprise.

Kurona and Nashiro Yasuhisa were division commanders in his past and although not individually strong, they were extremely strong as a team. The were also both one-eyed ghouls naturally in his universe, but he guessed here that they were created by the last man in the room.

That man is Akihiro Kanou. He is a human, a human that hates his own race for their weakness. He has worked closely with the CCG and Aogiri Tree as well as being an important associate of the Clowns.

He was a cruel man, a man who kidnapped Rize Kamishiro after the Clowns caused her to suffer a near fatal injury and used her kagune to create one-eyed ghouls, one of which being Kaneki.

The man doesn't like his race being exploited in such a way. He doesn't hate Akihiro only for this however, his treatment of Rize with unacceptable to the man.

Him and Rize had somewhat of a romance during his younger years, eventually going there separate ways as he headed off to war.

The man walks further into the room and looks around at all the ghouls, none bar though he mentioned even meeting his eyes. He ignored Akihiro however, not even going as far as to look in his direction.

The man finally rest his eyes on Eto when he smells something familiar, something he thought dead at this point. He could smell Rize Kamishiro.

The man instantly releases his killing intent, engulfing the room in a chilling silence. The man even causes Akihiro and some of the weaker ghouls in the room to drop to their knees under the pressure he's emitting.

The mans gaze still locked on Eto as he speaks his first words, each of the letter biting out viciously to though around. Those words are, "Bring me Rize Kamishiro!!!!"
