Walking home

They texted me about how they're excited to hear from me, they're sending me tickets to travel to where they live, blah blah blah. I'm going on a trip with them to a resort on a coast of some sort.

On one hand, I've really been wanting to take a break from school and just relax for a few months. On the other hand, I'm really close to graduating. So me staying at school wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Hmm. I'll sleep on it. The trip isn't until a month from now. I'll have to procrastinate later. That's what I did best back when I was young. I was not very productive.

I opened the school's front doors and left for my home. As I walked on the streets leading me to my humble abode, I kept thinking about that weird dream sequence. The train station, the hooded figure closing the gap between me and them. Then, suddenly, I'm imagining them pulling back their hood and revealing their face.

!!

They look like--

!HONK!

A car horn jolted me back to reality. I'm suddenly finding myself in the middle of the street with a set of lights beaming me.

The car is just a few feet away from me. Stopped, the car door wings open. A lady sits halfway up her seat to look at me. She looks familiar.

"Hey! You OK!" she yells.

"I'm alright." I say half aloud, half relieved.

I started walking when she suddenly ran towards me, grabbing my wrist.

"Wait. Let me treat you to some food. You still must be in shock!"

Well, she is offering. But I don't really feel like eating out with a stranger tonight. Near accident or no accident.
