Shit.Aiden wanted to tell him to stay. Orderhim to stay. Tell Marc he neededhim. But they’d just met and he had no right to say those things. Even if they had been a couple, he wouldn’t have that right. This was about Marc’s career. And if Aiden asked him to stay, Marc could possibly end up hating him if things didn’t work out.
He chose his words carefully when he spoke. “I can’t tell you what to do, Marc. I can’t make that decision for you.”
Marc lifted his head and stared wide-eyed across the table. “You don’t care if I move?”
“That’s not what I meant.” He raked his hand through his hair in frustration. This wasn’t going well. Raindrops splatted the window as the clouds opened up. He watched the water roll down the window until it disappeared from sight. He glanced back at Marc and his heart rose to his throat. He was so open. So vulnerable. Looking at Aiden with huge round eyes. Marc was the most beautiful man he’d ever seen and the words poured out of him.
