Kian's P. O. V
*Two days later*
"Hey, are you feeling better?" Penelope asked staring at my medical chart with skeptical eyes. The resident doctor treating my wounds had insisted that I was healing at an alarming rate, but she wasn't so sure.
"I'm fine." I really was, physically yes, unlike my body which took too long to recover, overnight my wounds started to regenerate and heal at a faster pace.
"The quack said that you can be discharged tomorrow, but I'm not so certain, I still think you need to take at least a week of bed rest." She pulled herself a seat next to my hospital bed, next to the fruit basket she brought.
My eyes dwindled to the door, searching for him, wondering if he had finally come to see me. I couldn't remember much after he took me back with him, but according to Penelope, Davien hugged my unconscious body before and after the doctor had tended to my wounds.
