Evelyn left after Regan asked her to leave.
Now there was utter silence inside the chambers. Regan's eyes were on the documents in his hands but Rex could swear that his attention was anywhere but on them.
Rex was also left confused by the sudden events.
He, however, knew that he would have to handle the things otherwise Regan might do something wrong in his anger and hurt.
A moment later, he turned to look at Elias who still looked shocked …perhaps because of what Evelyn said or perhaps because of how Regan just pointed out that Evelyn had been bought from the coins as a slave.
It was indeed shocking as Regan had never treated Evelyn as a slave. But today he suddenly pointing out such a thing. However, Rex knew that it was Regan's anger which had been speaking and not his true emotions.
Rex signed Elias to leave and the latter did as he was told but not before glancing at his master once. It could be seen that he was concerned about his master.
