Lysia nodded. "I can't deny that, but Bane is interested in your work, so I thought I might indulge him and see if you have anything good."
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that. I have plenty of things that will interest you. Follow me," Barrock said and led them towards the back of the store, and through a door into his personal workshop.
The difference was almost jarring. Where the front of the shop was dirty and dusty, the workshop was clean. It was spotless.
Lysia let out a breath. "Ahh, this is nice. Why do you keep the front so dirty? It is just disgusting."
Barrock looked over his shoulder. "Are you going to clean it? Do you think a prominent man such as myself has time for such a thing?"
