Chapter 14 That's an order

Alex was seen in the courtyard alone very early the next morning,he held a rifle in his hands and shooting at the wooden target and impressively hit the targets without stress,practicing, but it was ruined when he heard the Prince's voice.

"Training so early in the morning,that drains your energy, Soldier "Prince Xavier said.

"What can I say your highness,we are all a bunch of clueless teenagers"Alex said and Xavier nodded."I heard you are good with swords that you trained yourself and now you might be on par with the General, impressive."Alex said again.

"I don't mean to brag but that's true...how about we spar?"Prince Xavier challenged picking up a sword and testing it's weight."Whoever draws first blood wins"Xavier said.

"I thought you'd never ask"Alex said also taking a sword from the shelf.They both stood opposite each other with Xavier waiting for Alex to make a move first which he did making a smirk break out on Xavier's lips.Alex attacked with strong offense moves while Xavier defended.Alex put more efforts in his attack giving Xavier a hard time defending,the clangs of swords were heard alerting the maids and other guards around at that particular time.He swung his sword underneath Xavier's legs attempting to cut through but his attack was blocked by Xavier's sword,he knelt on one knee with this sword Infront of him and impaled In the ground,blocking Alex's sword from going further,Alex smiled and Xavier quickly stood up when Alex swung his sword in another direction aiming for his arm.Xavier hit the sword with enough force he could gather,he threw a stunt backwards to distance himself from Alex a little,he finally found an opening and took it without hesitation.He swung his sword swiftly while Alex blocked,he suddenly jumped on the courtyards fence using martial arts and Alex also followed, Xavier spun his sword around confusing Alex his attacks were fierce and corny a hit from his sword unto Alex's sword sent sparks flying and Alex fell to the floor.

"Ahh fuck!"Alex groaned holding his sword tighter,he rolled away when Xavier suddenly jumped attempting to land on him,He stood back up on his feet and threw his sword to Xavier as it cut a piece of Xavier's long hair when he dodged.Xavier looked at him with a disbelieving look that could have hurt him badly or worse killed him,but Alex seemed unbothered and with a smirk dancing on his lips.Xavier had the advantage now since he was the one with the sword,swinging his sword Xavier charged at Alex but Alex was somewhat so damn good at dodging.Xavier had annalize what his next step was going to be since he was so good at observation,but what he didn't expect was Alex picking up an arrow and pointing it at his chest while he pointed the sword at his.slightly impaling each other with their weapons as small amount of blood oozed out of the wound.it was a tie.

"Heavens,prince Xavier, someone get me bandages"An adult maid screamed after witnessing the challenge along with some other maids and guards as they clapped.They both dropped their weapons and bowed to each other.

" It was an honor training with you your highness "Alex said with a smile and bowed again for the second time before turning to leave.

"Alex?!"Athena and Sarah came running directly to Alex.She obviously did witness the challenge but did not put a hint on her face on who she was more impressed with,Xavier creased his brows when Athena ran past him like he was not even there she didn't ask how he was and despite knowing he was also hurt,since other maids and guards were surrounding him.

He suddenly got fed up and pulled away, struggling through the crowd that had gathered around him.

"Athena !!"Xavier called out,making both of them halt and turn their gazes to him.

"I want you to treat my wounds."Xavier said and she creased her brows without saying a word.

"That's an order"He said with his hands crossed over his bleeding chest to stop the blood.Athena,Alex and Sarah exchange glances with invisible question marks dancing on their forehead.

"Go,I'll help him out"Sarah said as Athena left Alex hesitated to go.She walked towards Xavier who instantly jolted after receiving a death stare from her,but he didn't mind that,he took her hand using the other to cover his wound as he pulled her with him to the palace walking through the halls,then the stairs and finally arriving at his chamber.

Athena's POV

I really wanted nothing to do with him but I know Xavier he was a very stubborn person who won't stop until his goal is achieved.

He took me into his room and locked the doors behind us I stood upright side the door,he went into bathroom to freshen up,when he came out he was half naked he was shirtless and only wrapped a towel around him,his hair was damp and resting on his shoulders while the drops of water rolled down his intoxicating body,he looked so seductive that I couldn't help but gape at him.

" The wound isn't going to treat itself Athena "Xavier said.she walked to him and took the bandages out.she noticed him smiling alot and decided to ask.

"Your highness,may I ask what's making you smile ever since I got here,do I perhaps have something on my face"I asked, squatting Infront of him and cleaning the wound with a piece of cotton wool.

"No,it just feels right,you in my room, right Infront of me"He said,his breath on her face,her heartbeat started racing and she wondered what was happening to her and how he was able to make her feel this way just by mere words.i applied pressure to his wound and he winced In pain.

"Ow easy,that hurt."I said.

"Am sorry,your highness"She said,she stood up and bent forward wrapping the bandage around him,her hair was on his face and it smelled like fresh roses,he inhaed it again and again and became almost disappointed when she pulled away.She climbed the bed and crawled behind him,tieing the bandage behind his back.he could feel her hot breath on his neck and it was driving him crazy,when her fingers slid from his chest to his back he could feel his brain malfunctioning and his little monster raging.

'Heavens,this girl is giving me hell'he said inwardly.

"Done"She said.

"Huh?hmm thank you."Xavier said, without a reply she was about to get down from his bed when Xavier suddenly turned over grabbing her and pinning her on the bed.

"Pri...prince Xavier"She called with wide eyes."What are you doing"She asked but he didn't reply.

'Showing you, you are not 'just a maid'to me'He said inwardly but didn't say a word to her he just laid over her scrutinizing her face as if it was his first time seeing her.His face came as close as an inch away almost kissing her but he pulled away running his fingers through his hair.Athena ran out instantly and Xavier went to stand by the window he saw her small figure running to the courtyard and he creased his brows knowing exactly where she was going.
