The Death Of The Tech

'I guess it's time I hit Joe up to make sure he's ok too.' Dwayne thought to himself. As I headed back to my living room to locate my cell phone I had dropped on the floor, I noticed the screen was completely black. Assuming it was dead, I plugged it up to the charger waiting for the screen to turn back on. To my surprise, the screen remained dark.

As the worst-case scenarios flashed throughout my mind, I rushed to grab my TV remote off of the coffee table clicking the power button multiple times. As the Tv remained black I switched my attention to the light switch trying to get it to cut on as well. "Don't tell me... the powers out too?" I couldn't believe that all the power was gone. Hoping that it was just a shortage and not what I think it was, I asked the system for some answers.

"Hey System, what's going with the power outages?"

[ The mana wave has destroyed all electrical components. Your civilization will need to introduce mana into the technology for it to be able to work from now on.]

"Seriously! So nothing works, and we have to depend on ourselves to reinvent all the technology that we have?"

[Mana infused technology is an upgrade because your current technology is behind the rest of the universe. Only by incorporating mana can you truly see the advancements of science.]

" Just great. What about the water, don't tell me we can no longer drink it either?"

[ The water is fine as long as the mana decay virus has not contaminated it. It is also cleanable by boiling it to 250*F. The water has mana infused, so it takes a little more to reach its boiling point.]

"I guess it's time to do some cleaning before I can find Joe."

Before cleaning I decided to change into something more comfortable. A black jogger outfit with red stripes going down the side paired with white jordan 11's was more to my liking. I grabbed the pistol I kept in my closet along with my katana as Crystal and I headed for the front door. Just before I head out the door, a thought hits me.

"System, how can I get skills? After I acquired my elements, it came with information on how I should wield it. But that was just in a general sense. It gave no clue on how I should attack or defend with it."

[ Each host has to explore and create their skills. The system will generate the skill after you have understood the information to perform the said skill. Skill creation will make each user's skills different. No one's understanding of the elements will be the same. ]

"More work, and he called this helping us out? This God is too stingy."

"Crystal, come on, and no barking. I already got enough issues for today."

We head towards the door to clear our building so that I can check on Joe next.
