chapter seven

Jessica, who was still in her room, vaguely trying to figure out how she would walk in the dress her mother had bought for her, was an issue.

''mother!'' she called out, the palms of her hand sliding menacingly over the curves of her body. The way the dress hugged her figure tightly made her feel like the woman she was not.

"what is it, my dear.'' Her mother asked, leaning over the frame of her daughter's bedroom door as she looked at Jessica with pure love.

"Do I really need to wear this?'' she asks, an eyebrow raised as she looks at the mirror in disdain. "it makes me feel…. inappropriate..''

''nonsense, you look wonderful. Like the beautiful woman you are. Now hurry up, run along, we should not be late.'' Mrs Hayman encourages, pushing her forward gently as they moved towards the stairs.

''Where are we going again?'' Jessica asks.

''to find you a suitor baby, believe me, it's best for you.'' She had let her confusion be her silence. Even though her mother had explained it a thousand times, she couldn't understand why.

Jessica felt happy and safe with her mom, she was the only woman she knew her entire life, or at least since she lost her memory.

Up until now, tables had turned in a drastic way. Mrs. Hayman had seen her daughter's accident as a chance to change things. As a second chance given by life to right her wrongs and give her daughter the life she deserved.

She had disappeared, from all who knew the both of them, they simply just disappeared. She wanted to get Jessica to stay away from danger and to follow all her orders. This was Mrs Hayman's chance to get her daughter in line. To decide for her. She recalls the entire ordeal as disobedience. On account of how Jessica refused to follow her instructions about dating Nick Thomas.

Just like her husband, Mrs. Heyman was a controlling woman. She wanted things to happen the way she dictated them to happen. she needed her commands followed without any hesitation or prior disobedience. she did not draw the line in how far she would go to take chances of instilling the control she once heard over her daughter.

now she had managed to teach Jessica the things she wanted her to do and to train her to always follow her instructions.

this time, she had no room for mistakes and no room for delaying. she would get her daughter married to a man of her choice because she believed that she knew what was best for Jessica. a man who would make her proud and protect her. a man who knows how to turn her into a real woman and make her submit and behave like the woman she is. Even though Mrs. Hayman understood that Jessica might get her memory someday, she needed to make sure that she had controlled her daughter enough such that there would be no changes in her personality even after she remembers who she once was.

when they walked into the luxury hotel, Jessica had her eyes solely on the wonderful interior of the building. their satin curtains displayed Elegance and luxury. they complimented the background color that was painted on the walls bringing out their own natural fragrance. the waiters that were moving around had been dressed in pure white. not only were these clothes elegant but they also seemed extremely expensive.

Jessica had now understood why her mother made her wear that dress. all the women that were seated around the tables were extremely beautiful, with makeup like an Awakening, and the clothes they wore complimented the figure of their body.

''We have a reservation.'' Mrs. Heyman said smiling warmly at the receptionist who seemed everything but friendly.

'' your names?'' she asked if rolling her eyes in an odd fashion.

'' Mrs. Emma Hayman.'' Jessica's mother responded politely. She glanced down at the MacBook that was placed on the receptionist's desk, she waited for her to pick it up and confirm their tables. She held a sense of impatience and prayed silently that the receptionist would not give them a hard time. People who worked in such places of high ranks often looked down on anyone who did not arrive at the hotel in a limousine or with bodyguards. There was always that perception of wealth that was given to the society and when one did not meet the standards, they were treated as less of human beings.

even though Mrs. Hayman had acquired weath of her own from the death of her late husband, it still was not enough to put her in the ranks of prominent and Powerful people.

'' And what about her?'' the receptionist asked in an obvious boring tone.

''What about her?'' Mrs. Heyman answered matching the level of disrespect and enthusiasm that the reception is to carried.

'' I'm talking about her name woman, does she not have a name. or do you think I'm some kind of psychic who will read your stupid mind and figure out the name of the hooker you came with.''

Jessica, still standing next to her mother was confused about the selection of that word. she did not follow from it because her mother had skipped over the part of showing her the things about society that would not be favoring her gender. she knew nothing about prostitutes and neither did she know much about sex. her mind was almost like that of a child exempt in this one, she would learn quickly if given the opportunity to be taught.

'' say that again and the next job you're going to be working is standing in the streets of Las Vegas hoping that a wealthy man picks you up for your rotten cunt.'' Jessica's mother muttered under her breath but still loud enough for the blonde to hear. Her lips pursed in shock and embarrassment but when she looked at Jessica, she was more surprised to see that the woman held no reaction to the words of her mother.

"Maria, why are you annoying my guests.'' came the booming voice of Mr.Gonzalez, the hotel owner.
