Postponed The Marriage

Ashley was so embarrassed to look up and meet her father and sister gaze on her as both of them were staring at her as she approached them at the parlour, luckily Dave didn't waste much time, he came out wearing a suit trousers and white singlet holding his shirt in his hand.

"Greetings Mr Dot, Jane nice to meet you again," Dave said as he shook hands with Mr Dot whom was staring at him first, before shaking hands with Jane, then he turned and took a seat.

"Sorry I took so long, Ashley didn't tell me we had some guest, she seemed to have forgotten as we had some other things to finish," Dave teased while Ashley glared at him from where she sat on the dinning table.

Jane turned to look at her big sister, she was feeling embarrassed to have caught them too.

"It okay Dave, I can understand, young couple are mostly hot blooded, so that's why I came as I will like for you both to speed up with the marriage plan since you both already like eachother," Mr Dot Kones said, but Ashley quickly refused

"No father, I don't want to get married."

Startling her father and sister as they both turned to look at her, "Why dear?," Mr Dot Kones asked, while turning to look at Dave whom didn't even react to Ashley's rejections.

"Father I don't want the marriage now, at least you give me some time to think," She pouted her lips as she said it.

"Really, think?. With what you where caught just doing now. Is it until you get pregnant you will think or when will that be?," Mr Dot Kones questioned her angrily and Jane turned to calm him down, "Father..!" Jane said.

Dave finally respond, "I think we should give her some time too, You as well know I don't want the marriage, but we shouldn't force her too, it all good if she needs time to think, beside marriage isn't a child's game but a life time commitment," He said.

"Hmph.. " Mr Dot Kones frowned, when he thought Ashley will finally agree to the marriage, here they are dragged to the initial topic, but he was inwardly happy to know that Dave had closed the line and slept with his daughter. "It okay. Am not forcing you to marry Dave, just that I want you to get married and not become a waste of beauty, but you wouldn't come back home, until next week end," Mr Dot stated

"Okay father," Ashley smiled at him as she was pleased he wasn't forcing her to marry Dave, not like she didn't like Dave, but she didn't want to rush things with him.

Jane stood up and walked over to seat with Ashley on the dinning table. She extended her hand and gave Ashley her phone and laptop that she had brought with her.

"Is there a need for the laptop besides I will be coming back home next weekend," Ashley said to her as she collected her phone first.

"I know, just incase you might be bored and be in need of it," Jane responded as she sat beside Ashley on the next dinning seat.

Jane and Ashley went back discussing women's talk while Mr Dot Kones and Dave went on discussing business.

"I heard on your involvement with Lexi trying to track down whom Norman Bright is," Mr Dot Kones said.

"Yes we went to the Silver royals hotel to see the manger, only for me to get bumped into Norman, but he was wearing a hat and even as his hat fell off, I didn't get to see his face as the hat covered half of his front views and face, but I think he knows me," Dave said.

"Hmm, is that so?.. I used to know his father Mr Tony Bright, we three used to be good friends in the past before your father.. " Mr Dot Kones voice trailed..

"Before my father did what?," Dave questioned as he stared intently at Mr Dot Kones waiting to hear the full story.

Mr Dot Kones sighed, "Didn't you ask your father anything related to Norman or why Norman is attacking the company. Am sure he wouldn't retreat as I did some searches about Norman, is a ruthless beast and he deals with firearms that's why he had the government back up unlike us whom just deal with drugs and little firearms, Norman is dangerous and he will come back for all of us, if we didn't stop him first," Mr Dot Kones said.

Dave stiffened, "Do you know why his doing all this, don't you think is just foolish of him wanting to destroy others because he wants to be on top."

Mr Dot Kones smiled hearing Dave claims, "It not about being on top Dave, the man is obsessed with destroying all his enemies or father's enemy," Mr Dot Kones replied.

"But how are we his enemy, I can't remember crossing paths with him before or does my father know about Norman's reason for attacking us?,' Dave questioned.

"Hpmh.." Mr Dot Kones sighed not wanting to speak further

"Tell me the truth uncle, I don't even think your daughter is safe if this battle still goes on," Dave said, wanting to pressure Mr Dot Kones to tell him the truth, as he knew his father didn't want to tell him anything related to Norman, neither did his father want to speak with him concerning the matter, and ever since his father had fainted, he didn't dare to bring up the topic of Norman and luckily ever since then, Norman had not attacked them.

"Hmm.. Dave I know about this before asking Ashley to marry you, she isn't even safe in my custody either, because I have a lot of enemies too, and Ashley is very beautiful, more reason they will come for her."

Dave sighed, hearing the old man speak, but that hasn't answered his question, "Can you brief me about Norman's father as his my.next target, if I can't get Norman due to his anonymous , then I can track his father."

Mr Dot Kones smiled hearing Dave, "Norman is ruthless, do you think many he has destroyed, didn't try to track and catch his father, but you wouldn't even be able too. His father is fully secured, I mean heavily guarded and you wouldn't be able to get past his guards," Mr Dot replied

Dave smiled, "Not when many thinks am Norman and mistakes me for Norman," Dave smirked and Mr Dot Kones looked up at Dave face remembering his friend Mr Jeff had told him same thing about it before.

"I see, but have never meet or seen any photos about Norman either, How did you know he looks like you?," Mr Dot Kones questioned

"Well I don't know, you tell me first about why you think Norman is attacking us," Dave responded and Mr Dot gulped

"You see Dave, it a long story, I shouldn't be the one telling you this but since you already entangled with my daughter, I think is best not keeping anything secret with you and better work with you now as you are now inlaw to me," said Mr Dot.

"Okay am listening," Dave replied as he sat up looking keenly Mr Dot.
